In order to implement the curriculum standards and improve the core quality of Chinese students,senior high school geography discipline needs to pay attention to the cultivation of students' practical and innovative ability.As one of the six core qualities of Chinese students,practical innovation ability is the practical ability,innovative consciousness and behavioral expression of students in daily activities,problem solving,adapting to challenges,etc.Practical innovation ability is embodied in the basic points of labor consciousness,problem solving and technology application.Question-based teaching,as a modern teaching method,has a promoting effect on students' practical innovation ability.In this paper,the problem-based teaching of geography is used to cultivate the practical innovation ability of senior high school students,and the main problems of compulsory 1 are taken as the carrier,and the teachers and students of the first grade of senior high school are taken as the research object.This paper summarizes the research status of problem-based teaching and practical innovation ability through literature research method,and uses student questionnaire survey and teacher interview to understand the current situation of practical innovation ability and problem-based teaching in high school teaching and learning.This paper puts forward that the problem-based teaching should follow the principles of situationality,openness,practicality,innovation and process,combine the characteristics of practical innovation ability and problem-based teaching,choose the content of practical innovation ability training,design the general mode of problem-based teaching suitable for the cultivation of Geographical Practice Innovation ability,and put forward the creation of truth problem situations,cooperative inquiry,Geographical Practice verification,experiencing multiple evaluation methods,searching for innovative ways to the application of geographic technology and other specific strategies.The innovation of this paper lies in unscrambling the specific connotation of the innovative ability of Geographical Practice and raising the general mode of problem-based teaching suited for cultivating the innovative ability of practice.On this basis,two demonstration cases are developed in the course of "Rational Utilization of Water Resources" and "Impact of Mountainous Areas on Transportation" in Senior One.Finally,the teaching effect is testedand evaluated through student interviews,performance scale evaluation and post-test questionnaire survey.The results show that the geographic problem-based model to cultivate students' practical and innovative ability is helpful to train students' practical and innovative ability in the process of problem solving.
