With the national comprehensive promotion of vocational education system reform,vocational education has made unprecedented progress.As the main body of vocational education in China,secondary vocational schools aim to train a large number of skilled and high-qualified workers on the basis of compulsory education.Counsellors are the peripheral nerve of secondary vocational schools' management,they guide and direct students to society,which means they undertaking important tasks of psychological,learning and vocational counselling for students,so their own quality and working level play an important part of students' healthy growth.Therefore,comprehensive strengthen the building of secondary vocational school counsellors team can guarantee schools' reform,development and stability,promoting students grown into an talent person.Recently,educational administrative departments at all levels have done a lot for the construction and development of counselors.In order to further strengthen and improve students' ideological and political education,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and State Council have promulgated relevant regulations to encourage and support a group of backbone elites who have been engaged in counsellors' work for a long time to study for relevant degrees and professional advanced studies to make full-time counsellors develop toward the direction of professionalism.However,at present,the work of counsellors in secondary vocational schools are mostly carried out on the basis of college counsellors' works,which have not yet developed into an independent and mature occupation.And many secondary vocational schools have not considered to build passageway and ladder for full-time counsellors' promotion,which also hinders the process of professionalization of the counsellor team.Therefore,learning from career choice theory in vocational school counsellor career management and career development stage theory,combining with the relevant domestic and overseas practical research experience,this paper studies the current situation and existing problems of vocational school counsellors' career development,and analyses the influence factors of vocational school counsellors' career management,aiming at putting forward effective strategies and suggestions for the problems and influence factors to improve career management of counsellors in secondary vocational schools.We select some representative counsellors of secondary vocational schools in Shijiazhuang,Chengde and Hengshui in Hebei Province as research samples,mainly using the methods of literature,questionnaire and interview.With the help of questionnaire and interview,this paper applies relevant theoretical knowledge to understand the status of career self-development and organizational management of counsellors in secondary vocational schools.Among them,the status of counsellors' career management is mainly analyzed from these four aspects: counsellors' self-congnition,awareness of organizational environment,formulation and implementation of career goals and action plans,and the condtion of relationship,coordination and communication.Finally,in view of the problems existing in the career management of counsellors in secondary vocational schools,this paper puts forward some suggestions,such as strengthening career self-management,improving career organization and management system,and attaching importance to the career process management of counsellors in secondary vocational schools.
