The Influence Of Industrial Structure Upgrading On Employment

In the backdrop of the global economic slowdown,China's economic growth also met with some resistance,so the upgrading of industrial structure and improving the quality of economic development has become the main task of the present in our country.As a large resource province in China,Shanxi Province faces more serious problems of slow economic growth and undiversified industrial structure.Therefore,Shanxi Province urgently needs to upgrade its industrial structure and seek for new economic growth points.While accelerating the development of emerging industries,we also need to phase out declining industries and solve the problem of overcapacity.But in a very long period of time,with coal,coking,electricity,steel,non-ferrous five traditional industries represented by heavy industry to support the development of shanxi economy,at the same time,it can solve the problem of a large number of employment in Shanxi Province,in these industries are in the process of optimization and elimination will to a great extent,the impact of employment in Shanxi.Therefore,this paper studies the combination of industrial structure upgrading and employment,which can provide theoretical basis and empirical support for how to stabilize employment in the process of industrial structure adjustment and upgrading in Shanxi Province.Article research train of thought is: the first analyzes the present situation of the industrial structure and employment in Shanxi Province,secondly on the basis of the analysis of the situation,upgrading of industrial structure affect the employment of empirical model is established,then through the analysis of the grey correlation between industry structure and employment examines the three industries and the employment absorption capacity of the industry,according to the above analysis put forward reasonable Suggestions.This article selects 1988-2018 time series data of Shanxi Province as sample,the employment effect of industrial upgrading of empirical model is set up,according to the empirical results the following conclusions: first,looked from the overall effect of the model fitting,technological progress has positive effect on growth of employment,the results accord with the present situation of Shanxi Province,Shanxi Province economic development level in the country,economic development depends on labor-intensive industries,capital deepening degree is low,so the compensation effect is greater than the extrusion effect of technological progress to employment.Second,the change of industrial output value and the speed index of industrial structure have no significant effect on employment,and the index of industrial structure change degree has obvious positive promoting effect on employment.Third,real wages will have a positive impact on the total employment.Higher wages will help stimulate the willingness of workers to find jobs and attract a large number of surplus rural labor force to the city.This paper also selects the data of Shanxi Province from 1990 to2017,analyzes the employment absorption capacity of the industry and the industry by using the grey correlation analysis method,and concludes that the growth of the output value of the tertiary industry has a strong driving capacity for employment.At last,combining theory and empirical analysis,this paper puts forward policy suggestions for Shanxi Province as follows: optimizing industrial structure,increasing employment demand;We will improve the quality of our workers and improve the labor market.
