The Composition Of Chinese Fathers' Roles And Their Influence On Their Happiness

In the long history of mankind,the father has been playing the role of "breadwinner" for most of the time.With the continuous progress of human society and the continuous development of economy,the father's role has been constantly adjusted and changed under the influence of the changing times and culture.There is a lot of research on the impact of fathers' involvement on their children,but less on their own happiness in their role.Research on the happiness of fathers in their roles can help fathers to discover and feel the positive experience of fathers' participation,thus improving the quality of fathers' lives.Can help fathers to establish and maintain a good parent-child relationship;It can help fathers develop in their parenting process,which is important for fathers to experience a rich and complete life.The decrease of demographic dividend gradually disappear,fertility and the increasing serious social problems such as population aging has become the major problems affecting the long-term development of our country,and for the fathers in the characters of the actual situation of happiness research in a certain extent,will affect their fertility and having children on issues such as number of decisions,which affects people with the notions of family and look forward to.The results of the research on the types of roles that Chinese fathers localize and the impact of those roles on fathers' happiness are as follows:Conclusion 1: Through a large number of domestic and foreign literature reading,on the basis of open questionnaire survey,individual interview,combined with psychology related expert opinion,the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis,compiled with high in reliability and validity of father role constitute the scale of the People's Republic of China,the questionnaire includes four dimensions,respectively "education role" has five items,"material support role" has five items,"Caresiver Role" has five items and "companion role" has four items,the Cronbach's alpha test results are: "education role" =0.852 ? "material support role" =0.839 ? "caresiver role" =0.815 and "Accompany role" =0.839.The results of confirmatory factor analysis were: ?2/df=1.105,GFI=0.983,AGFI=0.975,CFI=0.998,RMSEA=0.010.Conclusion 2: The average score of all subjects was highest for the "caring role" of the father role and lowest for the "educational role”.The three dimensions of "educational role","material support role" and "companion role" in the father role were significantly different in different age groups.The dimension of "companion role" in the father role variessignificantly among different occupational types.Conclusion 3: The "educational role","material support role" and "caresiver role" have significant positive predictive effects on fathers' happiness.The " material support role" in the father's role positively affects the father's happiness through the autonomous need,the relationship need and the ability need to meet the basic psychological need as part of the mediation,while the "education role" positively affects the father's happiness through the ability need as part of the mediation.
