In recent years,with the rapid development of maker education,more and more elementary and secondary schools have setted up maker courses.How to develop maker courses has become a widely concerned issue in the K-12 education.Design thinking provides mature ideas,tools and method system support for creative design and modeling iteration of maker teaching activities.Integrating design thinking into maker teaching activities can provide tools to support students' various thinking processes,so that their thinking can be cultivated with high quality.Based on the design thinking model,this study constructed an Arduino maker teaching activity model based on design thinking,and designed the activity types and cases of makers.First of all,based on the relevant literature such as design thinking,maker education in primary and secondary schools and Arduino application,this study analyzes the problems and reasons in the current maker education,and takes the activity theory and "learn from doing" theory as the theoretical basis of maker teaching activity design.Secondly,based on the analysis of the design thinking model,combined with the characteristics of maker teaching activities,a middle school Arduino maker teaching activity model based on design thinking was built.The model consists of five stages of exploration,definition,conception,prototype and evaluation,each of which is designed with teachers' and students' activities and equipped with appropriate thinking tools.Thirdly,the design factors of maker teaching activities were analyzed from the aspects of learner characteristics,teaching objectives and teaching contents,and the types of Arduino maker teaching activities were divided.Specific activity cases were designed based on the maker teaching activity model constructed.Finally,based on the maker teaching activity model and activity cases,this paper applies them to the maker curriculum of grade one in B middle school for teaching practice.The validity of the activity design was verified by teacher interview and questionnaire survey.The experiment shows that the design of the Arduino maker teaching activity model in junior middle school based on design thinking promotes the development of students' knowledge and skills related to Arduino and improves their interest in Arduino maker teaching activities.
