In recent years,maker education has been developing rapidly in the world.Chinese experts,scholars and teachers have developed maker activities with their own characteristics in order to cultivate students' innovative and practical ability.The survey found,while the maker education has accumulated many successful experiences in the cultivation of students' creativity,but also gradually exposed the problem of "more practice and lack of innovation",The goals of training students' innovative thinking,cultivating innovative and practice ability and improving their creativity confidence have not been achieved.It is time to add an enabling methodology—design thinking to maker education to guide and facilitate the achievement of maker education goals.The design thinking,which plays an important role in the cultivation of innovative talents.Its mature concepts,models,supportive strategies and tools can provide guidance for the maker learning activities and support students' innovative thinking process and cognitive processing path.Therefore,using the concepts and tools of design thinking to guide the development of maker activities is of great benefit to the cultivation of creativity and practical ability,which has great educational research significance.Taking a middle school in Minhang of Shanghai as the teaching base,choosing the micro:bit development board,an open source hardware with powerful functions and high cost performance,as the practical carrier of maker activities,to carry out the research of micro:bit maker learning activities with integrated design thinking.Inspired by literature review and case analysis,the research is specially divided into three stages: micro:bit hardware programming skills preparation stage,integrate design thinking and micro:bit creative electronics primer project,integration design thinking and micro:bit creative electronics advanced project.In the three teaching stages,teachers constantly reflect and find problems,improve the teaching design,and finally combine the classroom satisfaction questionnaire,Torrance creative personality self-report scale,student project log and student creative electronic works to comprehensively evaluate the teaching effect and students' innovative and practical ability.With the help of research tools,the teaching effect is analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively.It is found that under the guidance of design thinking,students' satisfaction with classroom teaching is improved,the development of creative electronic projects is more rule-based,and their creativity tendency and innovative practice ability are further improved.It is hoped that this practical research on the integration of design thinking and maker education can provide references for the development of maker course in middle and primary schools in China,provide new ideas for the theoretical and practical research on maker education,and the maker education can really exert its great energy in the cultivation of innovative talents.
