A Study On The Growth Process Of Famous Principals From The Perspective Of Life Course

Education is the essence of building a nation and the foundation of enhancing the nation.The deepening of educational reform and the improvement of educational quality are inseparable from the practitioners in education.Since the idea of “ Running schools by educators ” has been put forward,how to train more outstanding principals has become a hot spot in the field of practice,and the researches on principals' growth have also received more attention.This article selects the famous principal W as the research object,using case studies and key event analysis methods to analyze the growth of the famous principal W from the perspective of life history theory.With the help of the analysis paradigm of life history theory,the theory of growth stage and capital accumulation in the principal's growth research are integrated.From the six stages of principal W's youth growth,principal's preparatory period,principal's adaptation period,principal's successful tenure,principal's mature period and principal's creative period,this paper makes a retrospective investigation of principal W's growth process,and tries to discover the turning points and key events in his growth process and find out the key factors of principal W's growth.The research found that during the growth of W principal,the environment,resources and capabilities influence and interact with each other.Principal W,as a secondary normal school student in the 1980 s,gained accumulative advantages and achieved gradual growth in the wave of educators' school running and continuous transfer experience.At the same time,he continued to conduct deep learning,reflected on educational practices,formed growth thinking and analytical thinking,developed creative thinking,won the ability to seize opportunities at a turning point in life,and achieved abrupt growth.In the process of integration and mutual promotion of the two,the growth of famous principals can be realized.Based on the growth of the famous principal W,we formed his life trajectory and tried to construct his growth sample.The study found that the growth of the principal is a cumulative process.The principal must accumulate key advantages at different stages of growth and actively learn,reflect,and innovate to achieve growth.In this way,provide feasible paths and suggestions for the cultivation of excellent principals: the education administration department can enrich the principals' practical experience by establishing a principal exchange platform;innovating principals' training work and promoting principals' in-depth thinking;introducing a competition mechanism to stimulate the principal's four internal driving forces to promote the growth of famous principals.
