The concept of time and space refers to the concept that students observe and analyze the relationship between specific historical things and specific time and space.It includes two dimensions: spatiotemporal knowledge,spatiotemporal attitude and ability.The first day of junior high school is the first time for students to learn history knowledge in the form of general history.Whether students can grasp the time sequence of history and grasp a certain concept of time and space through the first day of junior high school has an important impact on students' learning in the second day of Junior high school and the third day of senior high school.Therefore,it is particularly important to pay attention to the cultivation of students' concept of time and space in the first stage of junior high school.Before the start of action research,the current situation of students' concept of time and space was investigated by questionnaire,and the questionnaire was sorted out and analyzed.The results showed that: students lack basic knowledge of time and space;students lack the ability to use historical chronology,historical map and other tools or methods to learn history;students lack the ability to think about historical events across time and space.According to the problems found in the questionnaire survey,action research is selected as the specific research paradigm and action research plan is formulated.The whole action research has been carried out in two rounds according to the plan.In the first round of teaching action,the use of historical map,historical summary table,pictures and other tools is used to explore the use of these tools in classroom teaching.Before the second round of action research,the action plan is modified in depth according to the questions and suggestions put forward by the subject group teachers after class and the classroom observation during the first round of action In order to explore the best strategy of cultivating the space-time concept of the students in the first grade of junior high school,we should choose the method that the students prefer to carry out the teaching action in the second stage,and infiltrate into the calculation of different chronological methods and historical years.In this paper,we take the 7th class of the second volume of the seventh grade of the people's Education Edition,the combination of Liao,Xixia and the Northern Song Dynasty,and the 18 th class,the consolidation and development of a unified multi-ethnic country,as examples to show the specific process of two rounds of actions.The research shows that when using the historical map to cultivate the students' concept of time and space,we can explain the map to the students in detail;cooperate with the map in class;arrange the drawing homework properly;compare multiple maps;use textbooks or atlas maps more.When using the historical timeline and chronology to cultivate the students' time and space concept,we should pay attention to the explanation of time related basic knowledge;intersperse the homework drawn by the historical timeline;use the chronology of historical events in the textbook for general review before the examination.In the use of historical pictures and historical tables to cultivate the concept of time and space,we can use historical pictures to help explain the textbook knowledge;compare different pictures;use historical tables to sort out and summarize the chapter content.
