Constructivism has inspired scholars to shift from teacher-centered teaching to learner-centered learning.The change of teaching methods also brings opportunities for the change of learning environment.Attaching importance to learner-centered learning space design has become a development trend.The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of active learning classroom on students' learning experience,learning engagement and learning performance.Based on this,this study took 152 college students of a university as the research object,and conducted two quasi-experimental studies.The experimental courses were instructional design and comparative literature.Data were collected from three perspectives,including questionnaire survey,teacherstudent interview and classroom observation,and the following conclusions were drawn:The study found that in the two experiments,the learning experience of students in the active learning classroom was significantly different from that of students in the traditional classroom.In terms of learning engagement,active learning classroom can improve students' learning engagement.In terms of learning performance,there was no significant difference between the students in the active learning classroom and the students in the traditional classroom,whether it is the students' learning performance in the subject knowledge or the students' final exam scores.In addition,the study also found a positive correlation between students' learning experience and learning engagement.In terms of gender,the learning experience of male and female students in active learning classrooms was significantly different from that of students in traditional classrooms.The learning engagement of girls in the active learning classroom was significantly different from that of students in the traditional classroom,but the learning engagement of boys in the active learning classroom was not significantly different from that of students in the traditional classroom,and the average score of the learning engagement of boys in the active learning classroom was lower than that of boys in the traditional classroom.
