As a new form of reading teaching after the course reform,group reading is a regular reading practice for students,which meets the requirements of in-depth reading,is conducive to the integration of mass information,and at the same time can promote the improvement of students' advanced thinking ability.Prose is the dominant style of Chinese teaching in primary and secondary schools in China.Through the investigation of the status quo of prose reading teaching,it is found that there are still some problems in prose reading,such as obvious utilitarian orientation,serious excessive discipline,and low efficiency in class.In view of these problems,we should reform the way of reading and change the current monotonous and rigid teaching mode.Therefore,the group reading in the middle school prose teaching application research should be paid attention to.According to the curriculum standards and the characteristics of junior high school students,the teaching objectives of group reading in prose reading teaching are set,and the corresponding teaching strategies are put forward.To construct a coherent,critical,argumentative and open topic;Through the contrastive analysis of the three basic types of group reading,the paper introduces in detail its methods and strategies of teaching prose reading in junior middle school.Finally,on the basis of the textbook compiled by the department,the author designs and analyzes the case of group reading teaching,and discusses the development direction of group reading from the perspective of researchers and teachers in the front line,so that the teachers can use group reading to teach prose more specifically.
