Teachers are the foundation of education;good education comes from good teachers.In this study,1009 primary school science teachers in 10 districts and counties in Changsha City were selected as the research objects,focusing on the basic information,teaching work,professional ability,teacher research and training,and professional sentiment of primary school science teachers.At the same time,in-depth interviews were conducted with science teachers from 13 primary schools in Changsha.Through investigation,we found that in recent years,the professional development of science teachers in primary schools in Changsha has achieved good results,but there are four main problems as follows: the structure of science teachers is unreasonable,there are more part-time teachers,more temporary teachers,more female teachers "three" phenomenon;the professional ability of science teachers needs to be improved,which is reflected in the experimental operation skills and the ability of education and scientific research Weak;the effectiveness of science teachers' post job training is not high,which is reflected in the lack of training opportunities,weak pertinence,prominent contradictions between engineering and learning,single training mode,etc.;professional sentiment needs to be improved,and there are phenomena of weak subject identity and low professional satisfaction.The reason is that the social status of primary school science is not high,the support of school is not enough,and the teaching and research activities are not carried out effectively;the reason is that the individual's professional development awareness is weak,the teachers' practical operation ability and the ability of education and scientific research need to be strengthened.In order to solve these problems,we need to guarantee the professional development conditions,strengthen post job training,explore the way of self professional development,and build a multi type teaching and research community.
