Primary school science education can protect students’ curiosity and thirst for knowledge from childhood,cultivate students’ scientific spirit,and promote the improvement of the whole nation’s scientific literacy.2016 students in the development of core literacy explicitly put forward the cultivation of student’s scientific spirit,in2017 the ministry of education about print and distribute compulsory education primary school science curriculum standards" clearly stipulated in the notice of from one to six grade all courses in the elementary school science,and requests the teacher to carry out the core accomplishment in science curriculum,it marks the elementary school science education into a new education reform and development period.The cultivation of students’ core quality must rely on effective classroom teaching by teachers.Primary school science teachers are the main implementors of primary school science curriculum and shoulder the responsibility of improving students’ core quality.Core quality put forward have contributed to the elementary school science teachers’ professional development,the elementary school science teachers to really implement the core accomplishment in science class,to improve their own emotions,knowledge,ability and so on,constantly improve their own professional development,is the better way of dealing with the core quality of primary school science teachers put forward a series of requirements.Therefore,the professional development of science teachers in primary schools must be paid more attention to by relevant educational departments and schools.Core literacy as the research background,this study of teacher professional development at home and abroad and the elementary school science teacher professional development of the relevant literature is reviewed,the core accomplishment,the elementary school science teachers,the defining the concept of teacher’s professional development,this paper discusses the core quality of the role of primary school science teachers’ professional development and the corresponding requirements,to lay a solid foundation for subsequent research.This study investigated the professional development of primary school science teachers in some schools in yantai by issuing questionnaires and interviews.160 primary school science teachers inyantai were selected for the questionnaire survey,and 9 primary school science teachers were selected for in-depth interviews.First of all,a general understanding of the basic information of primary school science teachers,followed by a survey of the status quo of the professional development of primary school science teachers.The survey found that some primary school science teachers do not update their professional concepts in a timely manner,and some teachers do not have enough emotions.They do not attach importance to science courses,and their knowledge structure is simple.They lack interdisciplinary knowledge,and their ability to improve is not strong enough.Through the research of practical problems found in the attribution analysis,finally from three aspects: their own teachers,environment,system put forward a series of promoting the elementary school science teachers’ professional development under the background of core literacy countermeasures,in the aspect of teachers’ from all angles to raise their professional development,in the aspect of environment create a sound environment for the elementary school science teachers’ professional development,to perfect the related system in terms of system construction,increase funding support.
