Comparative Study On Technological Innovation Ability Of Universities In China、Japan And Korea

Universities are regarded as the main force for scientific and technological innovation.Universities have been taken as a vital force for organizing the research team of scientific and technological innovation and play an indispensable role in the national innovation-driven development strategy.At present,it is a critical period for the great rejuvenation of China.It is an urgent requirement for the country to promote the construction of "Double-Top" universities.The creation and development of worldtop disciplines are essential for establishing world-top universities.Only world-class disciplines can cultivate world-class high-level professionals.Only world-top disciplines can enable universities to involvement in the national innovation system and lead to the forefront of industrial innovation.Patent is taken as an important form and carrier of the technology innovation achievements.Technological innovation ability of innovative university can be truly reflected by the level of patent output.This study makes a comparative analysis on the technological innovation characteristics of universities,based on the perspective of patent from the aspects of scale and activity of technological innovation,talent resources and technological cooperation ability of technological innovation,value dimension of technological innovation and so on,by selecting the innovative universities in China,Japan and Korea with representative patent output ability.The results indicated that the comprehensive ability of Chinese universities in technological innovation is rising obviously.There are a growing number of researchers who involve in the study of technological innovation.The innovative vitality of inventors is vigorous.Excellent performance in the scale and activity of technological innovation has been made.However,the value of technological innovation in Chinese universities lags behind those in Japan and Korea,and the ability of technological innovation cooperation needs to be improved.The scale and activity of technological innovation in Japanese and Korean universities are small and unstable.There is a clear gap between Japanese and Korean universities in terms of the scale and activity of technological innovation.However,the value dimension of technological innovation achievements in Japanese and Korean universities is obviously higher than that in Chinese universities.High-quality technological innovation can be produced through technical cooperation.The ability to produce new results is also strong,because these innovative advantages ensure their leading position in the innovation rankings of Asian universities.The universities in China should give full play to the advantages in cultivating talents to maintain the vitality of technological innovation.In addition,promoting indepth cooperation between industry,university and research to enhance the value of technological innovation achievements is also important responsibility for the universities,in order to better serve the national innovation-driven development strategy.
