As the longest Mongolian textbook in ancient China,"Thousand Character Classic" has been handed down since its birth.Although "Thousand Character Classic" was created as a writing textbook,most of the later scholars focused their research on the literacy and version analysis of "Thousand Character Classic",and few scholars paid attention to and studied the "Thousand Character Classic" as a writing textbook.Therefore,the author makes every effort to make a comprehensive arrangement and research on the basis of the predecessors to build a relatively complete research system of the writing textbook "Thousand Character Classic",so as to provide some reference and inspiration for the current primary school writing education,and also lay a certain foundation for the academic community to conduct in-depth research on the writing textbook "Thousand Character Classic".This paper takes "Thousand Character Classic" as the research object,combines the literature analysis method,the historical research method and the comparative research method,carries on the comprehensive research to it.First of all,by combing the relevant historical materials,the paper explores the application practice of "Thousand Character Classic" as an ancient writing textbook.Secondly,from the content,the use of words,the way of arrangement and so on,the paper expounds the characteristics of "Thousand Character Classic",and then analyzes its teaching value.Finally,the author makes a longitudinal comparison between the "Thousand Character Classic" and the two representative writing textbooks in ancient times,namely "Ji Jiu Pian" and "Shang Da Ren",to explore the unique value of the "Thousand Character Classic" as writing materials.This study mainly draws the following conclusions: from the perspective of content,"Thousand Character Classic" is comprehensive and covers a wide range of aspects,combining knowledge and writing content with moral knowledge;From the point of view of the use of words,"Thousand Character Classic" has a high proportion of common words and a low repetition rate,which is suitable for students to write;From the point of arrangement,the sentence pattern is neat and pays attention to rhyme,which conforms to the psychological characteristics of students.It has the main value of writing teaching: Thousand Character are not heavy and more commonly used words,can effectively train students' writing ability;It can not only cultivate students' ability of standard writing,but also cultivate students' aesthetic taste.The sentence pattern is orderly and rhyming,which stimulates students' interest in writing.According to this research,the implications for primary school handwriting teaching are as follows: pay attention to the combination of literacy and handwriting in teaching;Attach importance to the copying of the classic model of calligraphy;Pay more attention to the beauty of calligraphy.The enlightenment to the compilation of primary school writing textbooks are as follows: the psychological acceptability of students should be considered in the arrangement;Pay attention to the cultural and educational function of teaching materials;Provide handwriting style,standard and aesthetic combination.
