With the development of a new curriculum reform,classroom teaching attaches great importance to give play to the dominant role of students and the leading role of teachers.Geography is a subject which is characteristic by practicality.The teachers that are mainly play a leading role in teaching should be provided with more opportunities to guide students to participate in practice in class.It is more regrettable that drawing,as an important activity which is of great necessity for enhancing students' active participation and initiative in geography teaching,has not been allowed to play its valuable role in practice of classroom teaching.In other words,in order to improve the students 'drawing ability and allow full play to the positive influences of drawing teaching in geography teaching,the teachers' guidance is necessary.Therefore,this research starts with the practice of guiding students to draw regional diagram in junior middle school geography teaching.Through the guidance and case analysis of drawing different types of regional diagram by teachers,the principles and methods of image drawing are summed up,and at the same time,it summarizes the teacher's teaching experience in guiding students to draw and some suggestions is made accordingly.The main point of this research is based on the relevant requirements of the "Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standards"(2011 edition)on the basis of following theories of pedagogy,psychology and geography.The research methods include literature research method,case study method,classroom observation and experiential summary method.The thesis takes the common regional diagrams in junior middle school geography teaching as the research subjects,such as regional skeleton map,regional topographic map,regional climate map,regional river map,contour map and other maps.Through the practice of instructing students to draw regional diagram in junior middle school geography teaching,the thesis analyzes the drawing process of different types of regional diagram and the specific example of drawing guidance is given.On the basis of the case study method and classroom observation,the teachers provide a six-month drawing guidance for the students from two classes in Y school.During the process,the troubles that students meet when drawing regional diagrams of different areas and the corresponding guidance strategies of teachers is recorded.The practical activity provides the basis for this research and is where the shoe pinches.Combining with practical experience and the applying of relevant literature researches,this thesis summarizes the principles and methods for students to draw regional diagrams under the guidance of teachers.On the basis of the principles of similarity,simplicity,integrity,practicability,particularity,and artistry,students are able to comprehensively improve their drawing ability by the help of drawing methods of regional diagrams like portraying,filling,tracing,sketching,and drawing in details.In addition,through the analysis of the overall process of drawing guidance,this thesis summarizes the practical experience of guiding students to draw regional diagrams in junior middle school geography teaching,and it points out the guiding experience that teachers should get when drawing different types of regional diagrams.The induction of practical experience has great significance for the improvement of teachers' capability,the reinforcement of students' drawing ability and the development of geography drawing teaching.Last but not least,this thesis makes some reasonable suggestions for teachers in the future drawing teaching.It is hoped that teachers can follow these suggestions to prepare lessons earnestly,master their basic skills,pay high attention to the process of guidance,and attach importance to make summary in the future drawing teaching.The ultimate purpose of this research is to help teachers who teach geography in junior middle school to solve problems concerning to drawing teaching such as how to effectively guide students to draw regional diagram by the way of specific practices to make up for the deficiencies of current drawing teaching.It is believed that through making a practical research,it can help teachers,to some certain extent,to summarize the methods of drawing regional diagram and gather the guiding experience,solving teachers' problems about drawing teaching.Undoubtedly,in practical research,there are also deficiencies such as: the short duration of practical activities,the varying levels of students in the class of practical research,etc.Sincerely,it is hoped that through this research,teachers can further gather drawing teaching experience so that they can give specific guidance according to different levels of students when drawing,and gradually promote the progress of geographical drawing teaching.
