The scarcity of organizational resources and the imbalance of distribution are the most important factors that result in the competition in the place.How to achieve career success faster and better has been a topic that was concerned by most professionals.The promotion of political skills plays a key role in the acquisition of organizational resources,which can actively respond to workplace competition and contribute to the career success of employees.However,there are relatively few empirical studies on how the mechanism of political skills affects career success at present.Therefore,in order to further explore the impact of individual political skills on career success and its mechanism of action,this study,based on the theoretical review,takes organizational individuals as the research object,and carries out research work in two stages: Previous research and formal research.In the previous survey stage,the author first explored the internal dimensions of political skills and revised the political skills scale,then collected 476 valid samples,and used statistical software to conduct exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis on the revised political skills scale.At the same time,the reliability and validity of the scale of political skills,professional success,organizational citizenship behavior and work psychological control sources were tested.During the formal research,454 effective samples were collected,and the influence of political skills on career success was tested by correlation analysis and regression analysis,as well as the mechanism of organizational citizenship behavior and work psychological control source on the relationship between political skills and career success.The results show that:(1)The scale of political skills was revised based on exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,reliability and validity test,and the measurement of the political skills of organizational individuals was confirmed.(2)Political skills have apositive predictive effect on career success.(3)Organizational citizenship behavior plays an intermediary role in the relationship between political skills and career success.(4)Work locus of control plays a negative role in coordinating the relationship between the political skills and organizational citizenship behavior.The internal control personality enhances the relationship between political skills and organizational citizenship behavior,while the external control personality is the opposite.This paper revised and tested the political skills scale,which enriched the research on the practice of political skills.By focusing on the individual is the most concerned about the topic of career success,constructs a moderated intermediary model,and tested the applicability of the model by questionnaire survey,reveals the mediating role role of organizational citizenship behavior in the influence of political skills on career success and the moderating role of Work Locus of Control in the influence of political skills on organizational citizenship behavior.
