Textbooks are the most important tool for the country to cultivate talents,the basis of school education and teaching,and an important manifestation of the results of curriculum reform.With the continuous reform of basic education curricula in various countries,a series of reforms have also been carried out in textbooks.In 2019,the People's Education Publishing House of China issued a new version of senior middle school biology textbooks,which ushered in new challenges for senior middle school biology education in China.This topic chooses to use the old and new versions of senior middle school biology textbooks as the research object,compares the differences in the structure and content of the two textbooks,analyses of the characteristics of the new version of textbook,and makes some suggestions for teachers and students to use the new version textbook.The research is carried out as follows:1.Collecting and reading relevant literature,summarize the current status of basic education curriculum reform,the development of senior middle school biology textbooks,and the current status of domestic and foreign research on senior middle school biology textbooks.2.Comparing the similarities and differences between the two versions of the curriculum standards,and clarify the requirements and directions of the new curriculum standards,in order to compare and analyze the new and old versions of the human education version of the senior middle school biology(molecule and cell)module in the structural system(layout design,title content,illustrations,writing styles,After-class exercises)and content systems(content selection,experiment and inquiry activities,interdisciplinarity).3.The comprehensive comparison results lead to the following conclusions: The content selection of the new version of senior middle school biology textbook is in accordance with the cognitive characteristics of students,is close to the actual life of students,and focuses on the creation of real situations,which helps students to construct important concepts on their own;layout design is more beautiful and atmospheric,increasing the readability of textbook;strong three-dimensional illustrations,two-sided typesetting of some illustrations are clearerand more relative,which helps students understand and memorize knowledge;comprehensively updated after-school exercises and more focus on developing students' core qualities;experimental inquiry pay attention to practice and educate people,and closely update the practical activities requirements of the 2017 version of the curriculum standard,fully consider the experimental teaching practice,and highlight the cultivation of students' practical inquiry ability and thinking ability;interdisciplinary emphasis on the use of relevant principles of physics,chemistry to explain the biological knowledge and strive for students to understand the concept.4.Suggestions for the use of new versions of textbooks were proposed.Teachers should fully study the new curriculum standard and clarify the direction and requirements of the new curriculum standard for training students?make full use of the content of textbooks to guide students to actively participate in learning and actively carry out experiments and exploration activities;meanwhile,students should make full use of the content of the textbook to deeply understand the important concepts of biology and pay attention to the connection with real life.
