A series of factors,such as the prevailing cultural trend of the society,the school administrators' idea,the teaching content in class,and the resource of the school library,have created the reading status and school spirit of a university.This paper through four parts to sort out the campus reading in Nanjing University from reform and opening.They are overview of research on campus reading activities since Reform and Opening,accumulation about school history and academic atmosphere of Nanjing University,changes of campus reading in Nanjing University since reform and opening up,school spirit and reading promotion activities.On this basis,the author concludes the characteristics of campus reading situation in Nanjing University,points out the shortcomings and proposes related suggestions.In the introductory part,relevant literature are collected and sorted out to make a research summary,and at the same chapter,the author points out the reasons and significance to select this topic.The research contents and methods used during research process are concluded at the mean time.Chapters 2 to 4 are divided into three parts to systematically review the campus reading life in Nanjing University from reform and opening up.Chapter 2,accumulation about school history and academic atmosphere of Nanjing University,focuses on the influence of school atmosphere on campus reading,which is divided into two parts: before and after reform and opening up;Through the collection and arrangement of alumni memoirs,alumni interviews,school history records and other materials,this paper introduces the different characteristics of the school spirit and appearance of Nanjing University in different periods,and summarizes its influence on campus reading.Chapter 3,changes of campus reading in Nanjing University since reform and opening up,explores the campus reading in Nanjing University since reform and opening,which are organized by different historical periods of Chinese society after reform and opening up.Its changes are mainly reflected in two aspects: reading content and reading mode.Through the study of reading characteristics in different periods,this paper summarizes the changes of reading hotspots and approaches in the campus of Nanjing University.Chapter 4,school spirit and reading promotion activities,systematically explores the specific contents of campus reading in Nanjing University,and lists various campus reading activities held in school,such as Top Ten Lent Books and Reading Festival held by school library,Plan of Enjoying Classic Reading hosted by the academic administration prescription;Organizations sponsored by students such as reading clubs,study groups,and various reading activities.The final chapter 5 takes an overall view of the whole text,summed up three basic characteristics of campus reading situation in Nanjing University from reform and opening up,and points out the current shortcomings in campus reading promotion: dispersion of reading promotion resources;reading promotion is insufficient of school characteristics and profession;the issues such as monitoring and assessment of reading activities is difficult to implement.At the end of the paper,three suggestions are put forward as follows: unite the strength to promote campus reading;improve the reading assessment mechanism,and encourage students to evaluate each other;finally,it calls on Nanjing University to attach importance to its characteristic campus reading and build a unique reading culture.
