Cultivating students' oral communication ability is one of the fundamental aims of Chinese teaching and a crucial aspect in Chinese learning.There are no doubt that practical and effective oral classes that meet students' communication needs helps improve students' oral skills.However,in my teaching practice in Chinese schools in Thailand,I found that the students' oral communication skills in Chinese schools is far lower than their written expression ability.In oral class es,teachers' language input and students' oral output are not effectively combined.In the long run,the development of students' oral communication skills will inevitably be hindered.Oral English teaching in Chinese schools in Thailand needs to be innovated to solve the current difficulties.Therefore,I try to introduce the Production-oriented approach,which advocates the teaching concept of "integrating learning with application",into the primary oral English teaching in Chinese schools in Thailand,in order to stimulate the students' intrinsic motivation and interest in learning Chinese and finally improve their Chinese expression ability.On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the Production-oriented approach and oral English teaching in Chinese schools,this paper selects year 6 A rank and year 4 B rank in public Wenyi school as teaching objects,and after referring to six commonly used oral English textbooks,takes "shopping" as the common unit theme,and compiles teaching contents suitable for the two classes at different levels.Under the guidance of Production-oriented approach,the teaching practice was carried out in two classes respectively.Finally,after analyzing the results of students' test performance test and survey results,it is found that Production-oriented approach has stimulated students' interest in learning to a certain extent.Furthermore,it has increased the students' chances of using Chinese,raising their speaking frequency rate.Generally speaking,the teaching practice based on Productionoriented approach can promote the primary oral class in Chinese schools in Thailand.Especially in year 6 A rank class,which is of a higher Chinese language level,students' oral competence is better and achievement have improved significantly in a short period of time.Therefore,this paper holds the view that Production-oriented approach teaching is more suitable for classes of higher Chinese proficiency.
