As a kind of study method,case study is widely applied in many aspects,it's value in the second language teaching field cannot be underestimated.Although the case study has some disadvantages,like non-universality and strong subjectivity,we cannot ignore it's advantages,which means studying the object with a concentrated,deep,comprehensive way.At present,there are a large number of theses are about the Thai students' Chinese,which involve pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar,pragmatic and so on.But the theses about the case study of pupils' spoken Chinese are not enough.The author study the Thai students' spoken Chinese as a case study,in order to enrich the content,and provide some reference value for the workers and the researchers in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper is based on the experience of Chinese teaching in Wattanaksuksa School,Chiang Rai,Thailand,and the study object are two pupils.The author recorded the pupils' spoken Chinese,then transformed the records into words,finally analyzed the material.The author explored the reasons behind and gave some related thoughts and suggestions.There are four parts in the paper.Part one introduces the writing reasons and background,explains related research overview,research object,theory,method and corpus description.Part two introduces the analysis of the pupils' spoken Chinese,mainly from vocabulary,grammar and communication strategies.Part three makes the reasons behind clear,which mainly include the school,the students and the language transfer.Part four contains the thoughts and suggestion regard to part two and part three.The author discusses the issues from schools,teachers,textbooks and students.Making full use of network resources to study Chinese is highly stressed.
