It is the realization of decent work that manifests the requirements based onhumans, that reflects the requirements of economic globalization, and thatcontributes to the integrity of economic development and social progress. In recentyears, the government has adopted a series of measures to ensure employees decentwork, but the current implementation of decent work among employees in allenterprises is not that satisfactory. This is not only influenced by enterprise externalfactors and internal factors such as economy, politics, technology and social culture,but also by insufficient in-depth research on decent work in China for lack ofrational evaluation criteria on employee's decent work. Therefore, to establish ascientific and rational evaluation index system of employee's decent work could helpenterprise promptly detect existing problems on promoting employee's decent workand also contribute to future in-depth research on decent work.This paper first reviews the relevant literature about decent work and itsevaluation both at home and abroad. By summarizing the research results andlearning from them, this paper explains in details the basic theories of establishingthe index system, and analyzes in depth the current characteristics and influencingfactors of employee's decent work. On the basis of these theories, this paper first setspreliminary indicators by collecting all kinds of indicators as many as possible toavoid missing any important indicators. Then the paper selects the representative andimportant indicators by using the Delphi method, correlation analysis and otherobjective methods. The paper also uses AHP method to determine the weight of theindicators selected, thereby forming a complete set of evaluation index system.Finally, this paper carries out empirical researches in different enterprises throughoutour country by applying this evaluation index system, and then uses comprehensiveevaluation to assess the outcomes.The research in this paper proves an employee's decent work index systemmade up of nine first level indicators and44secondary indicators. Finally theapplication of the index system better reflects the status of employee's decent work,thereby verifying the system scientific, rational and practical.
