Study On Government Regulation System Of Food Safety In China

The frequent food safety accidents attract the significant attention from people around the world,and the risks of unsafe food have become one of the major problems facing human health.Food safety is not only of vital importance to the nation's economy and the people's livelihood,but also a profound impact on social stability and development.With this in mind,the measures are widely taken in the world which aims at solving food safety problems.The Chinese government considered food safety regulation as an important government task.Although the food safety supervision has been strengthened and also the method is changed according to the actual situation,food safety situation in China is still worrying.In view of this,the Chinese government should learn from food safety regulation in order to protect the food safety efficiently.The full text is divided into three parts except for introductory remarks.In the introductory remarks,it discussed the studying purpose and significance by reviewing several important food safety incidents,and then gave a detailed description of the current research situation about food safety regulation both at home and abroad.At last,it described the research methods and innovations.The first part: An overview of food safety regulation.Firstly,it summarized the historical evolution of the concept of food safety and gave a generally accepted international definition of food safety.Secondly,it presented the definition of food safety regulation,and then elaborated why government must take food safety regulation.Finally,it depicted the significance of food safety regulation by government.The second part: Present status,problems and reasons of food safety regulation in China.First,it explained the present situation of the Chinese food safety regulation.Second,it analyzed what kind of problems in government regulatory system.Third,it illustrated the reasons of those problems.The third part: Countermeasures and Suggestions about improving government regulatory system of Chinese food safety.It advanced some measures for improving government regulatory system,they are: improve food safety rules and regulations,better the food safety standard system;establish some coordinated and also efficient food safety managements;improve the risk monitoring and evaluation system of food safety;encourage social force to take an active part in the food safety regulation.
