Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Corporate Citizenship Behavior And Supply Chain Performance

Affected by product quality and food safety incidents,consumers are increasingly holding companies accountable for unethical behavior within the companies' supply chains.In addition,governments,legislators and regulators are now starting to act to require companies to disclose more information regarding their own practices and those of their suppliers.Corporate citizenship behavior issues have drawn the attention of both China and the world.Chain members are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of being a good citizenship that develop and maintain responsible behavior is viewed as a powerful catalyst for improving supply chain performance by enhancing legal,ethical,philanthropic and economic responsibility within the chain.The 21st century businesses requirements,environmental issues,economic and social development have impulse companies to embrace corporate citizenship behavior as part of their overall business plan so as to improve the performance of the whole supply chain through effective collaboration.The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between corporate citizenship behavior and supply chain Performance,through the mediation effect of supply chain collaboration.On the basis of existing literature about corporate citizenship behavior,supply chain performance and collaboration,a conceptual relationship model is established.Then,the paper targets Chinese domestic companies,for the aim to carry out empirical analysis.The paper begins by presenting the research background,purpose,significance,innovation points,as well as the framework of the paper.Then,after reviewing relevant literature,the paper puts forward corresponding hypothesis and design questionnaire survey for data collection.A total of 187answered questionnaires were returned,the ratio of replies is 92.1%with 140 qualified questionnaires,representing 69%of valid respondents' rate.With the help of SPSS 21.0 and Amos 22.0,structural equation modeling is used to verify the relationship conceptual model between corporate citizenship behavior,supply chain performance and supply chain collaboration.Finally the paper found that:corporate citizenship behavior has a significant positive influence on supply chain performance,corporate citizenship behavior has a significant positive influence on supply chain performance,supply chain collaboration has a significant positive influence on supply chain performance,and supply chain collaboration has partial mediation effect between corporate citizenship behavior and supply chain performance.The research concludes with suggesting some recommendations to managers,before discussing the limitations of the research and giving future study trends.
