Customized Logistics Solutions For Cross-border E-commerce

With the trend of trade globalization and the development of e-commerce,in recent years cross-border e-commerce has rapid development by the the growing market demand and vigorously policy support.Due to the trading parties of cross-border E-commerce are in different countries and regions,the cross-border logistics they rely on is more difficult and complex than domestic logistics.Because of high speed development of cross-border E-commerce,the supply chain,especially cross-border logistics has became one of the most important factors restricting the development.In order to meet the huge growing logistics market,how to use the customizied logistics solutions to replace the traditional logistics operation mode has became the critical factor that cross-border e-commerce must to consider.First of all,based on the related theory summarized and combined with my practical work experience,this paper analyzied current cross-border e-commerce's logistics operation mode and the new challenges facing it.Then it created the logistics solution value estimate model for new pain points of cross-border e-commerce faced and proposed the need of cross-border e-commerce for customized logistics solutions.Beside,the article studied the process of finding suitable solutions for cross-border e-commerce by using supply chain mapping.Secondly,it made UPS as a sample,summarized UPS's solution for corss-border e-commerce and the factors need to be consided when UPS made the customize solutions for corss-border e-commerce to find what can be learned from UPS.Then it analyzed the case of UPS and A Company's cooperation and next step improvement solutions,verified the value A Company benefited from customized logistics solutions by using logistics solution value estimate model.Next,Acorrding to UPS Return Plus,it designed a new solution called UPS Pickup Plus,and used this new solution to improve A company's supply chain.As the follow,it analyzed the new solution's strengths,weaknesses and the practicability.Finally,the article put forward countermeasures and suggestions of customized logistics solutions for cross-border e-commerce from the third party logistics company level.I hope this paper can play a certain value for the development ofChina's cross-border e-commerce and third party logistics enterprises.
