Research On The Development Potential Of Cruise Tourism

In recent years,China has become the second largest cruise tourism market in the world.In 2017,Chinese cruise industry initiated a golden decade.Cruise tourism helps to shape the image of port city and the development of destination tourism and economy.Dalian is the largest open port in the northeast and the first city that open the cruise business.The cruise tourism market of Dalian is developing rapidly.Most of the current academic researches analyze the cruise tourism from the competitiveness of cruise home port or the qualitative point of view.There is no research on the development potential of Dalian cruise tourism,which builds an evaluation system and analyzes it.Competitiveness reflects the current level of development,it is a measure of the actual ability,and it cannot determine the future development potential.Therefore,studying the development potential of Dalian cruise tourism can make it easier to find problems.By comparing the data with Qingdao,this paper aims to find the weak links of the development of Dalian cruise tourism.By increasing the investment in the weak links,Dalian cruise tourism will have the sound and fast development.First of all,the paper introduces the background,methods,framework of the research,and the innovation points.Then this paper reviews the related research both at home and abroad,and introduces the related concepts and theory.On this basis,this paper builds an evaluation system in combination with the uniqueness of cruise tourism.The first level comprises tourism potential security force,support force and market development potential.The second level indicators include port conditions,transportation security,natural ecological environment protection,hinterland economy,policy support,tourism resources and facilities,market demand and talent supply.According to the literature information related to the second level indicators,32 third level indicators are determined as the research variables.The next part is empirical study.By using factor analysis method,the potential data of two cities in 5 years were analyzed,and the results of two cities were compared.Then the limiting factors and promoting factors of development potential were obtained.The grey GM(1,1)model is used to predict the future index results according to the index value calculated by factor analysis,and the trend of development is compared.Finally,this paper gives a comprehensive evaluation of the development potential of Dalian cruise tourism,and some reasonable suggestions.In view of the overall situation,the total index of the development potential of Dalian cruise tourism shows an upward trend,but the result is still slightly lower than Qingdao.Dalian's tourism potential security force is the greatest part of the first level.For Dalian,the total potential is more dependent on market development potential.But the incensement of Dalian's market development potential is slower than Qingdao's.The potential support force is the weakest link in Dalian,so this part of the first level needs more effort.In view of the problems that affect the future development of Dalian cruise tourism,there are some suggestions on the policy support,tourism resources and facilities,cruise market demand and talent supply.
