Objective:To investigate the actual state of the civil servants' job burnout in National Tax Bureau,and to discuss the relationship among their work pressure,social support and job burnout,and to explore the mediating effect of social support among it.Methods:Adapting the Questionnaire on Work Pressure of Civil Servants,Social Support Revalued Scale and MBI-GS and using interviewing method in addition,to survey the situation of the civil servants in Chenzhou national tax bureau.These scales were conducted to 722 civil servants in Chenzhou national tax bureau,the remaining valid questionnaires were 656,the efficiency was 90.86%.Results:(1)In the three dimensions of job burnout,the mean score of emotional exhaustion was the highest,and the low sense of achievement was the lowest.And in the dimension of job responsibility,the mean score of the work pressure was the highest,the work task was the second,and the interpersonal relationship was the lowest.(2)The job burnout of civil servants in National Tax Bureau was significantly different in terms of gender,age,location,working years and total length of work in business department.It showed that the level of job burnout of male civil servants was significantly higher than that of female civil servants.The level of job burnout of civil servants working in county was significantly higher than that of civil servants working in prefectural cities.The civil servants work experience of 5-15 years were higher than the tax civil servants work experience of 25 years in terms of emotional exhaustion,cynicism and low sense of achievement.In the analysis of the difference in the position level,it found that the degree of emotional exhaustion of the department heads was the heaviest among all the staff.(3)There were correlations among work pressure,social support and job burnout in tax department.Specifically,there was a significant negative correlation between each dimensions of social support of civil servants and the total score of work pressure.There was a significant negative correlation between the total score of civil servants' social support and job burnout.There was a significant positive correlation between the total score of work pressure and job burnout of the civil servants.(4)The work pressure of the civil servants had a direct impact on emotional exhaustion,cynicism and low sense of achievement.And subjective support also played a partial mediating role in the relationship between work pressure and emotional exhaustion,work pressure and cynicism,work pressure and low sense of achievement.The utilization of support played a partial mediating role in the relationship between work pressure and cynicism,work pressure and low sense of achievement.Conclusion:(1)The level of job burnout was not high,but the level of emotional exhaustion was worse than the other two dimensions.(2)The level of job burnout of civil servants was significantly influenced by demographic variables.(3)The greater the work pressure,the more severe the emotional exhaustion,cynicism and low sense of achievement.(4)The better the social support,the lower the job burnout.(5)The work pressure of civil servants not only directly affected all the dimensions of job burnout,but also indirectly influenced their job burnout through subjective support and the utilization of support.
