Urban construction land is a carrier for urban economic development based on the overall planning of land use.It mainly includes residential land,commercial land,industrial land,transportation facilities land,logistics and storage land,public facilities land,green land and other land types.An important place for people to produce and live.The city is a subject of continuous development and changes.Along with the gradual expansion of cities,the space for construction land as a support for urban economic development is also increasing.This is a necessary process for the development of modern cities,such as Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and other economically developed cities.,The list goes on.However,the disorderly expansion of construction land in the process of urban development also violates the original intention of the current urban planning and is not conducive to the sustainable development of the city.This requires the comprehensive consideration of the constraints and possibilities of urban expansion when planning cities.To give it a flexible space can better promote the steady and healthy development of the city.This paper uses GIS technology to conduct research on the basis of planning of the“Multi-in-one”development strategy plan of Jinpu New District and the planning of major functional areas in Dalian.This paper takes the Dalian Jinpu New District as the research object,determines the research scope through the data bases such as remote sensing images,and innovatively studies the constraints of space expansion and the possibility of spatial expansion.The constraints of space expansion mainly include land,landform,basic farmland,and ecological constraints.The number of land that can be used for construction is estimated,and the available land under land and sea restrictions is analyzed as the research scope of the paper(2214.5km~2).The construction land area is 1275.2km~2,the construction land area under the restriction of basic farmland is 1768.8km~2,the construction land area under the ecological limit is1,709.62km~2,and the land area for construction of landform,basic farmland,and ecology is1,269km~2.The possibility of space expansion is mainly based on the current urban space(556.7 km~2)and land that can be constructed under multiple constraints.Based on urban buffer analysis and traffic accessibility analysis,the scope of future urban construction land can be determined.Deducting the terrain,basic farmland,and ecological comprehensive restriction areas,the total urban space area in the future is 770km~2,and the land use potential for urban construction is 213.3km~2.The current development intensity of Jinpu New District is calculated to be 17.16%,the minimum development intensity is expected to be 25.1%,and the maximum development intensity is expected to be 34.8%.The gravity center model was adopted to analyze the movement of the center of gravity of the town and the spatial development trend of the built-up area of the Jinpu New District was clarified.This article mainly defines the future urban boundaries of Jinpu New District from the constraints of space expansion and the possibility of space expansion,and focuses on measuring the external potential of urban construction land,and providing direction for urban development.At the same time,it also provides reference for the study of other areas of the same type to measure the potential of urban construction land and provides reference for the government's planning work.
