Rural land transfer is an effective way to solve the "three rural problems" in rural areas of China. The study of the impact of rural land transfer on household income and income gap has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the continuous increase of household income, reducing the gap of rural households and completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.Based on a survey of the field visits of JiangHan Plain, using survey data from household level of farmers and the means of Mathematical Statistics,Propensity Score Matching,Gini coefficient and multiple linear regression model,on the basis of analysing the trends of domestic and foreign, and the current situation of rural land transfer, taking the commodity grain base of JiangHan Plain as the study area, the article estimated the impact of rural land transfer on the household income of transfer-out's and transfer-in's,and calculated the influence of rural land transfer on the gap of household income of transfer-out's and transfer-in's,and discussed the influencing factors of household income and income gap of transfer households. The main conclusions and policy recommendations of the paper are as follows.(1)The market of rural land tansfer in JiangHan Plain is generally more developed, and the rate of rural land tansfer is higher than the current national average level. However, the level of rural land transfer is uneven in JiangHan Plain, and the problem of land fragmentation and imperfect of price mechanism are existing.(2)These factors which are the age of household owners, the number of household agricultural labor force, the conditions of agricultural production facilities of family owned, the distance between farmers' villages and their counties, and the convenient level of transportation between households' villages and the external world, have positive impact on land transer-in of farmers' household. These factors which are the age of household owners, the number of farmers' households participating non-agricultural labor, the conditions of agricultural production facilities of family owned, and the convenient level of transportation between households' villages and the external world, have positive impact on land transer-out of farmers' household. These factors which are the square of the age of household owners and the number of household agricultural labor, have negative impact on land transer-in of farmers' household.(3)The per capita net income of farmers' household of land transfer-in was 1546 yuan higher than that of untransferred households, and the per capita net income of farmers' householdof land transfer-out was 3135 yuan higher than that of untransferred households, which shows rural land transfer can increase the per capita net income of farmers households of land trasnsfer-in and transfer-out.However,caculated by the general description statistics, the per capita net income of farmers' household of land transfer-in was 2170 yuan higher than that of untransferred households, and the per capita net income of farmers' household of land transfer-out was 4088 yuan higher than that of untransferred households, whichi shows that the general descriptive statistical results overestimate the effect of rural land transfer on household income.Analysing from the margin of income growth, the farmers' household of land transfer-out are higher than the farmers' household of land transfer-in after land transfer, which shows the rural land transfer has a greater impact on the per capita net income of the households of land transfer-out.(4)For the households of land transfer-in,the value of Gini coefficient of the per capita net income is 0.24 before land transfer, and the value of Gini coefficient of the per capita net income is0.26 after land transfer. For the households of land transfer-out,the value of Gini coefficient of the per capita net income is 0.24 before land transfer, and the value of Gini coefficient of the per capita net income is 0.32 after land transfer. The results shows that land transfer enlarges the gap of the per capita net income of the household of land transfer-in and transfer-out.(5)These factors which are Average age of education for family labor, the number of household labor, the level of family wealth of households, the farmland area of transfer-in,the equality of land transfer-in and the leve of the economic development of farmers in their villages, have a positive impact on the per capita net income of the households of land transfer-in.However,the proportion of the families' population need to be taken care, the cost needed to be paied of land transfer-in,and the distance between farmers' villages and their counties have a negative impact on the per capita net income of the households of land transfer-in.These factors which are Average age of education for family labor, the total number of household participating non-agricultural labor, whether to take part in non-farm vocational training, the farmland area of transfer-out,the equality of land transfer-out,rent income of landtransfer-out,the distance between farmers' villages and their counties and the leve of the economic development of farmers in their villages, have a positive impact on the per capita net income of the households of land transfer-out.The factor of the proportion of the families' population need to be taken care have a negative impact on the per capita net income of the households of land transfer-in(6)These factors which are the farmland area of transfer-in,the leve of the economic development of farmers in their villages and the level family wealth, are the main reasons why the household income gap is expanded in the household of land transfer-in.The contribution which is the farmland area of transfer-in to household income gap is 23.52%,ranking the first among all factors affecting the income gap,and the factor of the leve of the economic development of farmers in their villages is 19.51%,ranking second, and the factors of the level family wealth is11.95%,ranking third. These factors which are average age of education for family labor, the farmland area of transfer-out and the leve of the economic development of farmers in their villagesare the main reasons why the household income gap is expanded in the household of land transfer-out.The contribution which is the average age of education for family labor to household income gap is 17.52%,ranking the first among all factors affecting the income gap,and the factor of the farmland area of transfer-out is 16.38%,ranking second, and the factors of the leve of the economic development of farmers in their villages is 14.39%,ranking third.
