Since the mid-1970s,when Xerox was the first to implement benchmarking in the United States,some internationally renowned enterprises such as IBM,Ford Motor Co.and General Motors successively adopted benchmarking management.Compared with the United States,benchmarking of enterprises in China can be traced back to the last century In the 1990s,with the rise of a number of well-known companies such as Haier and Li Ning,these enterprises have achieved some success through benchmarking.Subsequently,like Guangdong Mobile,CNOOC,Petro China and other enterprises have also applied benchmarking.Application practice of many enterprises proves that benchmarking can effectively improve business performance.In order to ensure the scientificity and rigor of the research based on the research of a large number of benchmarking and DEA models and other theories,this paper takes M-barge Company as the research object and from the financial performance point of view,selects 8 sample companies).Based on the previous research results,the input and output evaluation indexes used in DEA analysis are finally determined by factor analysis.Through DEA analysis,the technical efficiency,scale efficiency and cross efficiency of M company are analyzed comprehensively,and apply DEA's analysis result to benchmark management process.At last,it puts forward measures to improve M-turn Company's financial performance from aspects of financial budget system,capital structure,operational capability and profitability.
