Study On Placeness Shaping Of Characteristic Towns

In the background of the new era's development,characteristic towns,which have clear industrial orientations,cultural connotations,tourism functions,and community characteristics become the new develop mode of regional development.Characteristic towns have emerged as a predominant regional development model and have become a new engine for regional development in the new era.At present,characteristic towns have entered the stage of comprehensive promotion and have achieved remarkable achievements in construction.However,the promotion and construction of characteristic towns,exists hidden concerns and problems such as lacking of local distinctive features,lack of humanistic cares,overlook of cultural functions,tourism functions and community functions.Based on this background,this paper selects placeness as the core concept,and takes the construction of characteristic towns as the research field.Based on a comprehensive review of the concepts and connotations of placeness and characteristic towns,this paper attempts to analysis the relationship between placeness shaping and the construction of characteristic towns and the mechanism of placeness formations of characteristic towns,from the perspective of placeness theory,thus path of placeness shaping of characteristic towns.The results of this research are for providing some new ideas and references for the construction of characteristic towns.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First of all,this paper demonstrates the interrelationship between placeness shaping and the construction of characteristic towns:Placeness shaping is closely related to the construction of characteristic towns.Placeness shaping can not only participate in the characteristics constructions of characteristic towns,but also can participate in the functional constructions of the characteristic town.At the same time,the placeness shaping conforms to the needs of the current situations of characteristic towns,which is necessary for the constructions of the characteristic towns.Secondly,based on the placeness theory and characteristics of the characteristic towns,ricewine town of Shaoxing is used as a case study to investigate and analyze through various methods.This paper found that,based on its geographical location and historical background,ricewine town of Shaoxing's placeness can be reflected in five aspects:landscape,industry,tourism,community,and texts.Based on the above conclusions,combining the placeness and characteristic town's theories and practices,this paper explores the mechanism of placeness formation of characteristic towns.It is believed that the placeness formation of characteristic towns is the factors' impact to the objective dimension and subjective dimension of characteristic town.Geographical locations and historical accumulations constitute the objective basic factors for the placeness formation of characteristic towns,and establish the objective dimension of placeness;On this basis,the placeness formation of featured towns is mainly affected by five factors.They are:local productions,local landscapes,tourism activities,community constructions,and text constructions.Among them,local landscapes,local productions,and tourism activities are placeness functional factors that influence characteristic towns,constructing characteristic towns from subjective and objective dimensions of placeness,community constructions and text constructions influence the placeness of characteristic towns from the subjective dimension.It is the subjective factor of the placeness formation of characteristic townships;On the objective basis,various factors interact with each other and form the placeness formation mechanism a characteristic towns together.Thirdly,this paper comes up with the principle of constructing characteristic towns:the principles of authenticity,inheritance,perception and experience,creation and participation.Combining these principles,this paper proposes the placeness shaping strategies of characteristic towns from the five aspects:landscape shaping,industry cultivation,tourism practices,culture and community constructions,and text propagandas,The paper establishes a theoretical framework for placeness shaping of characteristic towns.In the end,this paper comes up with conclusions of this paper and summarizes the innovation and research prospects of the thesis.
