Disciplining and flexibility are the dual requirements of leader to employee.Flexibility often violates the norms of the organization, but it can bring positive changes. Some research is no longer confined to the negative consequences of employee deviance behavior, but aware some deviance behaviors, such as whistle-blow,have a functional and constructive role for the personal growth and the construction of organizational advantage. Therefore,it is crucial to explore how to promote employee constructive deviant behavior.Employee constructive deviant behavior is aimed at improving the existing ineffective working methods, breaking the current rigid organizational norms and enhancing organizational efficiency. It requires employee to take risk of failure and against potential organizational pressure, but also has the ability and resources to deviant,so employee needs a supportive work environment.Previous studies showing that the differences in leadership style affect employee behavior. As new type of supportive leadership, humble leadership could understand objectively employee strengths and weaknesses, appreciate employee behavior, seek constructive feedbacks, and give more resources and psychological support. It's valid to promote employee psychological freedom and reduce the risk of deviance for promoting employee constructive deviant behavior. This study argues for positive effects of humble leadership on employee constructive deviant behavior.Based the data of 188 sample questionnaires, the paper uses Spss18.0 and Amos21.0 for data analysis, and explores the immediate effect of humble leadership on employee constructive deviance behavior and the mediating role of leader-member exchange and the moderating role of perceived insider status. It arrives at the results as follows:(1)humble leadership is positively related to employee constructive deviance behavior;(2)leader-member exchange plays a partly mediating role in the positive relationship between humble leadership and employee constructive deviance behavior;(3)perceived insider status positively moderates the relationship between humble leadership and employee constructive deviance behavior. The higher perceived insider status is,the stronger the effect of humble leadership on employee constructive deviance behavior is.Based on the relationship perspective, the paper takes leader-member exchange and perceived insider status as two important factors in order to better explain the influence mechanism of humble leadership on employee constructive deviance behavior. The conclusion provides critical reference for the improvement of the relationship quality between leader and employee so that it enhances employee psychological safety to break away from conventions for organizational interests and then facilitates employee constructive deviance behavior.
