The rise and development of farmers' professional cooperatives is the institutional change and innovation of the basic management system under the market economy environment in our country.It has the characteristics of contemporaneity and inevitability.In recent years,due to the development of the market economy and the guidance of government policies,the farmers' professional cooperatives in China have developed rapidly.However,there are still problems such as a shortage of fund,non-standard internal management,lagging brand building and insufficient service-driven capacity,etc..The study on the factors that affect the financial performance of farmers' professional cooperatives can help solve these problems.Therefore,the paper analyzes the financial performance and affecting factors in combination with the development status of farmers' professional cooperatives in Anhui Province to promote the development of farmer professional cooperatives in Anhui even nationwide.First of all,this study makes a literature review of the domestic and foreign research status and draws lessons from cooperative economic theory,modern organization theory,transaction cost theory,and performance evaluation theory.Then conducts the theoretical inquiry of influencing factors on the financial performance of farmers' professional cooperatives.Secondly,based on the analysis of the theory,a study hypothesis that affects the financial performance of farmers' professional cooperatives in Anhui Province was proposed.Combined with the review of the development of farmers' professional cooperatives in Anhui Province,the problems that still existed in the development of cooperatives were discovered.Then a multiple linear regression model was established to test the hypothesis by the data from 238 valid questionnaires obtained through field research and questionnaire interviews.The empirical test shows that there are three main factors,which affect the financial performance of farmers' professional cooperatives:asset size,registered capital,and government subsidies.Meanwhile,the study selects a farmer professional cooperative as a case,which also proves that the scale of cooperative assets,registered capital and government subsidies are significant factors affecting the financial performance of cooperatives.Finally,according to the above analysis results,this study make following specific recommendations: to increase support for cooperatives;to cultivate typical examples of promotion;to strengthen the construction of its own products;to improve its ability to obtain credit;and to encourage sage of villages to return home to boost the development of cooperatives.
