| Under the global economic downturn,China's economic and social development has begun to enter the new normal stage, and the economic growth rate has slowed down.Under the down-turning backdrop of the global economic, the traditionally extensive economic development model with high energy consumption and high pollution will be difficult to sustain, and China's economic growth will face enormous challenges. However, for a long time,Chinese local governments have blindly pursued in specialized or diversified industries, resulting in the lack of effective division of labor and cooperation between regions, and the same industrial structure and similar phenomenon. On the other hand, the role of technological innovation in the growth of economic growth is increasing.Technological innovation as the driving force of economic growth and the primary productive forces, has become increasingly prominent.Technological innovation has made greater contributions to economic growth. Therefore, this paper makes an in-depth discussion on the internal mechanism of the relationship between industrial specialization, technological innovation and regional economic growth, and intends to analyze the intrinsic mechanism and transmission mechanism. This paper is mainly divided into five parts. The first part mainly introduces the current research situation and related theories of industrial specialization, technological innovation and regional economic growth proposed by domestic and foreign scholars. The second part deals with the above three factors by using panel data of 20 representative prefecture-level cities in the central region, analyzing of the status quo;the third part, based on the relevant theories, analyzes the mechanism of the conduction between industrial specialization, technological innovation and regional economic growth, and explores the internal relations among the three factors;the fourth part uses the panel data of 20 major prefecture-level cities and constructs economic models, conducting the empirical analysis based on the internal mechanism of the impact on regional economic growth which as a result of industrial specialization and technological innovation, and draws the following conclusions: The economic growth of cities in the central region is more dependent on capital investment and labor input, still belongs to the epitaxial economic growth.Industrial specialization has a significant negative effect on the economic growth of cities in the central region, and technological innovation has a significant positive effect on economic growth.Constrained by the selection and sample size, under the premise of excessively high degree of industrial specialization on the economy, the indirect effect of industrial specialization on regional economic development through technological innovation is not significant. The fifth part proposes relevant policy recommendations based on the results of empirical analysis. When formulating industrial development strategies, cities in the central region should avoid increasing the degree of industrial specialization, moderately develop multiple industries, and increase technological innovation, giving full driving force to regional economic growth. |
