The criss-crossing of underground pipelines has brought great inconvenience to the reconstruction of cities,the expansion of cities,and the development of urban underground space.The traditional laying of municipal pipelines is prone to repeated road excavation,affecting the urban landscape and economic and social development.Utility tunnel is a modern,intensive infrastructure that is conducive to the sustainable development of urban underground space.At present,the national policies support utility tunnel,but the development is still slow and the quality is not high,mainly because of its complex system and many aspects involved.Therefore,from the perspective of the development of utility tunnel,this paper studies the influencing factors and mechanisms of the development of utility tunnel in China,and puts forward specific measures.First of all,this paper tried to fully recognize the influencing factors of the development of utility tunnels by document analysis method and researching the utility tunnels or constructions which have been built.Then this paper preliminarily identified 108 factors that affect the development of utility tunnels,such as construction cost,emergency management mechanism,government coordination and other factors.After pre-screening,this paper gathered advises of this research form using professionals related utility tunnel by questionnaires.By data analysis with using SPSS22.0 software,this paper identified 24 important factors that affect the interiorly development of utility tunnels,such as the legislation underground space,finance mode,management mode,construction cost,operating cost and other factors.Secondly,based on identifying factors,this paper studied the causal relationship between each factors which effected the development of the utility tunnel by using interpretative structural model.At first,this study established the adjacency matrix by analyzing the influence factors of the utility tunnel after interviewing experts.Then the reach-ability matrix was obtained by using the MATLAB software.Based on this,this paper established the interpretative structural mode and classified factors by this mode.After analysis,I concluded that the factors that include management system of utility tunnel by integrated planning,the level of urban economy,the property right of using underground space and the system of paying for the using,the special districts and fields of the utility tunnel,the coercive policy about requiring pipeline to be roughed in the utility tunnel,the financial support,the system of attracting social capital,the degrees of technical standard's and criterion's perfection are deeper factors.What's more,this paper studied and visualized the casual relationship based on the interpretative structural model,which laid the foundation for establishing the system dynamics model for the development of the utility tunnel in next chapter.Afterwards,This paper established the system dynamicsmodel of the development of the utility tunnel based on research above.In the process of establishing,Istarted with determining the system flow diagram and variables based on the casual relationship between influence factors and then determine the weights of factors by using analytical hierarchy process.After that,the theoretical analysis was employed together with the expert interview to establish the relation between factors,thus preliminarily completing the system dynamics model.Furthermore,this study determined the validity of this result by data comparison with increment named C2 and developmental level named H2 of utility tunnel.As a final step,this dissertation conducted the simulation study by adjusting variables and then get the interaction mechanism about how factors influence the development of the utility tunnel interiorly.Different factors has different influence path and incidence and fanally impacts on increment of funds named Q and construction and maintenance named J2.Finally,for analysis of the results,the the development strategy was put forward that include the special legislation on the underground space and utility tunnel,perfecting of engineering standard,issuing coercive and incentive measures,and pushing the development of PPP model.
