Research On The Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Potato Production In Hebei Province

One of the prevailing concerns in society is food security,with potatoes becoming an important food security crop because of their nutritional abundance,which is higher in calories than all cereal crops.Potato is currently the fourth largest food crop in the world.Potato can be used not only as vegetables and food,but also as animal feed.As the world's largest potato producer,the development of the potato industry is particularly important for China,which has many people and few places.Hebei Province is an important production base for potatoes,especially Zhangjiakou City,Hebei Province.It is the main potato seed potato breeding and commodity potato production,processing,storage and transportation base in the province,and has a special advantage in the development of the potato industry.The development of potato industry is of great significance to farmers in Hebei province to get out of poverty precisely,increase the income of farmers and improve the production capacity of grain security.Based on the statistics of potato,this paper compares and analyzes the development level of potato production in Hebei Province and the whole country from the aspects of yield,sowing area,yield and regional distribution.Secondly,the paper analyzes the cost and income of potato production in Hebei Province,and compares the cost and income of wheat and corn crops,and uses DEA model to calculate the input-output efficiency of potato production in Hebei Province.Thirdly,the factors affecting potato production in Hebei Province were analyzed,and the effect of potato price on potato production was analyzed by using spider web theory and Nerlove model.The effects of economic development level,income level,dietary habits and consumption patterns on potato production in Hebei Province were studied.Finally,the author puts forward some countermeasures to promote the development of potato production in Hebei Province.Firstly,compared with the whole country and other crops,the potato yield in Hebei province is superior,and the yield and sowing area are not superior.Second,the cost of potatoes in Hebei Province is on the rise.Compared with other crops,potato has the lowest unit cost,the highest net profit and the highest cost return rate.Third,the potato production pure technology efficiency level is high,the integrated technology efficiency is in the marginal non-efficiency state,the scale efficiency is in the scale invalid state.Fourth,the potato market prices are seasonal,potato prices and production are consistent with the divergent spider web,the previous period's price affects the current production.Factors such as economic development level,income level,dietary habits and consumption patterns have an impact on potato production.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of potato production.The scale and area of potato production in Hebei Province do not have advantages,and the single yield has advantages.The input and output efficiency of potato was measured by DEA model,and the pure technical efficiency was higher.The effect of potato price on potato yield in Hebei province was analyzed by using cobweb theory and nerlove model,and the factors such as price and yield in the last period had a great influence on potato price.
