With the development of global and economic integration,enterprises are facing fierce competition increasingly.As the basis of automobile industry,automobile parts enterprises are an important pillar supporting automobile industry healthy development.However the dilemma is that the enterprises are struggling between customers and suppliers: With the introduction of safety legislation in the automobile industry,customers come up with the strict quality requirements for products,but the fluctuation of customer demands is very obviously,which brings instability for products quality.At the same time,the automobile parts enterprises manage hundreds of suppliers with different quality level,and its influence is not strong for suppliers,which makes the management of suppliers more difficult.How to survive and develop in the very tough situation? It is very urgent and necessary for auto parts manufacturing enterprises.Therefore,auto parts enterprises must improve the quality management mode to overcome these challenges.The production plays an key role for the product's quality management,because it is the key part in the chain of the enterprise,which transform the requirements of customers and materials of suppliers into finished products,and it's influence factors and process are very complex.The core of production quality management improvement strategy is to push the suppliers to improve the incoming material and control production process quality.Based on the theories of domestic and international quality management and the case of H company,which is one of top 500 company in the world,the thesis is aim to study production quality management from 2 parts.Firstly,it reveals the current situation and problems of production quality management of H Company,and analyzes the root cause.Secondly,it come up with feasible production quality management strategy based upon the root cause analysis and the quality management theories.The framework of this thesis is as follows:Firstly,the thesis elaborates the research background and significance,and introduces the foreign and domestic quality management system,which lays theoretical foundation for production quality management analysis and tactics.The development journey of quality management is complicated,but it can be summarized as 4 stages: product inspection stage,statistical inspection stage,total quality management stage and modern quality management stage.In the process of development,domestic and foreign experts come up with various quality theories,and the international professional institutions issues successively various quality systems.One of the most famous are the TQM/Jidoka/Six Sigma/ISO quality system.Secondly,the thesis reveals 4 problems of production quality control system by company overview/the production quality management status statement based on the relevant quality management theories: supplier incoming material quality control is not strict,production process instability,low FPY(First Past Yield)and defective products escape.And then it makes deep analysis for the 4 problems: To explore the root cause of supplier quality issue by organization chart/human resource/supplier select and performance management system;To explore the root cause of process instability by PDCA tool;To explore the root cause of low FPY by VSR balance /SWA balance/ V-band relaxing analysis;To explore the root cause of detective products escape by people mindset/Pokayoke/quality prevention analysis.In order to seek the root cause,it used these quality tools such as Fishbone Diagram/Histogram/Six Sigma/Minitab and these study methods such as logical induction,quantitative analysis method,experimental method etc.Thirdly,after the analysis,the thesis proposed the feasible tactics of production quality management improvement: 1.To improve supplier quality by optimizing organization chart/supplier's selection and audit/KPI system/incoming abnormity solving process;2.To ensure the process stability by optimizing standard document input/strengthening the implementation of standardization work.3.To improve FPY by improving RTY/ V-band relaxing;4.To reduce defective products escape by carrying out Jidoka activities,such as people quality awareness improvement/machine Pokayoke capacity improvement/quality prevention system establish.During this period,it consulted a lot of papers,which made the tactics more forward-looking and practical.Finally,the key points of production quality control are supplier quality management improvement/ process stability/FPY improvement/Jidoka implementation,the thesis has successfully solved the 4 main problems impacting production quality,which provide a practical reference for the production quality improvement of China's auto parts manufacturing.
