A Study On Poverty Characteristics, Differentiation And Governance In Ethnic Regions Based On The Multi-dimensional Perspective

Poverty is a complex problem combined with the politics,economy,culture,history and other factors.Reducing and eliminating poverty is a key goal for the world,and it is more the objective of a struggle of Chinese government.There is no doubt that the most difficult regions of building comparatively well-off society are in minority regions,where the issues of poverty sustains a long time and is hard to solve.Therefore,it is so urgent to study the issues and discuss how to solve it.In view of multi-dimensional,we take the minority area of Dongxiang Autonomous County from Gansu province and Tongxin County from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region as the empirical research regions,from four aspects of individual characteristics,economic environment,social environment,natural environment,by the means of Pearson correlation analysis and OLS regression analysis to identify what is the eradicating factor of poverty,what is the causing factor of poverty,and further analyses the influence degree of various factors to poverty that is conducted.The results showed that the related factors of individual characteristics,economic environment,social environment,natural environment have different effects on the formation of poverty,on the basis of that,we had a systematic analysis on differentiation of poverty and its causes.Finally,several possible countermeasures are put forward to sovle the issues of poverty in ethnic regions.The paper includes seven parts as follows:The first part is the introduction.It includes the background and significance of the research,the summary of the research on multi-dimensional poverty,the main research methods and technical routes,and the main innovations of the research,which provides a preliminary preparation for the thesis writing.In the second part,the definition and theoretical basis of the related concepts are conducted.Firstly,the relevant concepts of the research are defined.Secondly,the relevant theories are introduced in this part.In the third part,the basic situation of the research areas and the status of poverty are introduced.The basic situation and the status of its poverty for Dongxiang Autonomous County and Tongxin county are explained respectively.In the fourth part,we have a quantitative analysis on the poverty characteristics from four dimensions of individual characteristics,economic environment,social environment,natural environment for Dongxiang Autonomous County and Tongxin county,so as to identify which are the eliminating poverty factors,and which are the causing poverty factors,and further calculate the influencing degree on the poverty.In the fifth part,the systematic analysis on poverty differentiation in ethnic areas are made.the analysis on the characteristics of poverty differentiation in the study area is conducted firstly,then the causes of poverty differentiation in ethnic areas are further explored.In the sixth part,the paths of solving poverty in ethnic areas are put forward,from four aspects of individual characteristics,economic environment,social environment and natural environment.In the seventh part,the conclusion and the prospect are showed.The conclusions of this paper are summarized,and the further deep research is put forward.
