Research On The Impact Of Supply Chain Concentration On Enterprise Performance

At present,there are two main ways to study the impact of supply chain concentration on enterprise performance at home and abroad.One is to explore the effect of supply chain partnership on the enterprise performance based on supply chain concentration as an important dimension of supply chain partnership.The second is to study how the supply chain concentration directly affects enterprise performance.However,these studies have not considered how some intermediate variables affect the relationship between supply chain concentration and enterprise performance.It is also rarely able to examine how supply chain concentration affects enterprise performance and competitive advantage from the perspective of capital flow.In order to better explore the path mechanism of supply chain concentration on business performance,in this paper,we use the empirical analysis method of second-hand data to study the impact of supply chain concentration on enterprise performance and whether the working capital management has an intermediary role in the relationship between supply chain concentration and enterprise performance.This article uses the listed companies in the food and beverage industry,machinery and instrumentation industry,and biopharmaceutical industry of the A-share manufacturing industry in Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2013-2016 as samples.Selecting supplier concentration and customer concentration as independent variables,choosing accounts payable turnover rate,accounts receivable turnover rate,and inventory turnover rate as indicators for measuring corporate working capital management,selecting total asset return rate as dependent variable,and constructing pluralism.The linear regression model examined the hypothesis and used spss19.0 to analyze the statistical results.The empirical research results show that:(1)both the supplier concentration and customer concentration have a significant positive correlation with the business performance.The higher the supply chain concentration is,the better the partnership between enterprises and upstream and downstream businesses is,the more conducive to effective communication,sharing information in real time,reducing costs and improving business performance.(2)The higher the supply chain concentration is,the better the working capital management is.Specific performance in the following two aspects: First,the higher the customer concentration is,the higher the company's accounts receivable turnover is;Second,both supplier concentration and customer concentration have a significant positive impact on inventory turnover.(3)Working capital management has a positive impact on enterprise performance,specifically,the higher the accounts receivable rate is,the better the enterprise performance is.The higher the inventory turnover rate is,the better the enterprise performance is.(4)Working capital management has an intermediary role in the relationship between the supply chain concentration and the enterprise performance.Specifically,customer concentration will affect the enterprise performance through the accounts receivable turnover rate of working capital management,and the degree of supplier concentration and customer concentration will affect the performance of enterprises through inventory turnover.This paper studies the combination of supply chain management and financial management,and explores the path mechanism of supply chain concentration affecting the company's operating performance,in order to provide an empirical guidance for companies to achieve internal and external factors to improve enterprise business performance.
