Research On The Construction Of Credibility Of Trade Associations

As third sectors,industry associations play an indispensable role in communicating and coordinating between the government and enterprises.With the rapid transformation of government functions and deepening reforms of economic system,the economic and social functions of industrial associations become more and more important and absolutely necessary.However,the effect of social administration,industry management and service provision produced by domestic associations is too limited,partly due to the deficiency of credibility,which is caused both by the problems and flaws of the association itself and by several outer negative effects.This thesis takes Guangdong Province Horologe Industry Association as an example.It launched a questionnaire survey and a detailed analysis,which reveals the objective credibility condition of the association.The following is a detailed analysis of the reasons which cause the problems including its limited capability to strengthen self-development,lack of high value-added services,defective self-discipline system,insufficient outside supervision,deficient social credit system and so on.In order to explore effective ways to enhance credibility of the association,the thesis also concentrates on association credibility construction in foreign countries and explores their experiences which are worth learning.Based on the above analysis,some practical suggestions are provided including: strengthening inner administration and self-development,improving industrial self-discipline system,ensuring the openness and availability of information,providing various services,promoting its influence by effective marketing,improving the social credit system and so forth,which will benefit to enhance credibility of associations in China.
