Relationship Among Incubation Platform,Cluster Social Capital And Incubation Performance

In the background of mass entrepreneurship and innovation,incubation technology has been widely used,then become an effective way improving survival rate of high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises(SME).Single incubator owns limited resources and information,which can not meet the complex needs of new ventures,thus it is necessary to build innovative networks and incubation platforms to gather all kinds of subjects.Modern science and technology such as Internet promote incubation process to the direction of virtualization,low cost and high efficiency,incubator association and various incubators build incubation platform through information website,improve the loose relationship among subjects effectively,form incubation network and share resources,realize the accumulation and reorganization of social capital,achieve goals which are unable to complete by individual,then share the benefits of innovation.This paper studies the influence of incubation platform and cluster social capital on incubation performance,as well as the mediating role of cluster social capital.Firstly,we review the existing literature about incubation network,social capital,incubation performance and other related theories,define incubation platform and cluster social capital,analyze the cluster collaborative innovation model in incubation platform.Secondly,we discuss the relationship among incubation platform,cluster social capital and incubation performance,eight hypotheses and corresponding sub hypotheses are put forward to establish the theoretical hypothesis model.Lastly,we design and send out questionnaire to obtain data,empirically test hypotheses through regression analysis,put forward suggestions for improving incubation performance.Results show that:(1)Incubation platform including association platform and incubator platform,the former can aggregate resources,associate information and match trading,the later can accumulate new ventures and provide incubation services by nesting in a cluster.(2)Incubation platform helps absorbing and transforming social capital,both association platform and incubator platform positively affect the stock of cluster social capital.(3)Incubation platform helps incubators to improve skills and attract new ventures,then positively affects incubation performance.(4)Cluster social capital positively affects incubation ability,growth and social benefits of incubator from three dimensions:structure,cognition and relationship.(5)Cluster social capital plays a fully and partial intermediary role between incubation performance and association platform,incubator platform respectively.
