Research On The Measure And The Influence Factors Of The Urbanization Efficiency Of Zhongyuan Agglomerations

Urbanization is a gradual process of the implement of the economic transformation,social reform,culture reconstruction of regions,which is also a significant symbol of the social development and social progress of this region.Recently,lots of problems are emerging with the rapid growth of urbanization in China,such as the inferior quality of urbanization,the low efficiency of urban operating,the ecological environment deterioration and the restriction of city bearing capacity.The efficiency of urbanization is one of the most important dimensionalities to precisely measure the quality of urbanization process.Therefore the calculation of the new-type urbanization efficiency of Zhongyuan Agglomerations and its main causes is of great theoretical and practical significance.Reports of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China indicate that,we should build a harmonious urban landscape on the basis of urban agglomerations and quicken the transformation of agricultural population to citizens.Laws of urban development show that the agglomeration-oriented urbanization is an inevitable choice.Zhongyuan Agglomerations take the important strategic position,but the backward development level of urbanization restricts the economic and social development of this region.This paper forming a reasonable efficiency evaluation system,applying DEA-SBM model and Malmquist-Luenberger productivity index model,calculates the urbanization efficiency and its influence factors of this region and offers proposals finally.The paper's results indicate that the urbanization efficiency of Zhongyuan Agglomerations performs poorly between 2005 and 2015.The undesirable outputs of most cities are excessive,there is an immediate emergency to build resource-conserving cities and ecological livable agglomerations.There is a positive correlation between the urbanization efficiency and the structure of industry,the population factor,people's living standard and the local government.There is a negative correlation between the level of urbanization,the manpower factor and urbanization efficiency of Zhongyuan Agglomerations.
