Chinese automotive industry is growing rapidly with the high develop speed of China in recent years.And the modern project management theory has also been introduced.As a part of project management theory,the research of communication management just started in the 1980 s.Though the research has made certain progress,it's still insufficient both at home and abroad.This paper studied A company is a state-owned vehicle manufacturing enterprise.Its LED project has been asked to stop for many problems like bad communication and work safety at worksite which caused by project communication management.The problems in communication management of LED project were discovered by interview and classified through using project communication management theory.The improvement of communication management was set in two phases.It supplemented and revised the problems in communication process by interview and meeting in phase one.And it found there still has room for improvement after analysis by Earned value method.In phase two,the stakeholders was differentiated by power benefit chart according to their effects on the project.Then the communication plan and the requirement management of stakeholders was also adjusted to improve communication management to achieve all KPI of LED project.It found not only the solution for LED project communication management but also provide experience and reference for other project of A company through the two phases improvement.
