Since the emergence of the second generation of low-light image intensifier,the microchannel plate(MCP)has always been the core component of the low-light image intensifier,and its characteristic parameters all have an important influence on the function of the low-light image intensifier.As a very important intermediate product in the manufacturing process of MCP,the high-precision fiber's diameter accuracy mainly determines the gain uniformity of the MCP.This paper focuses on the manufacturing process of the high-precision fiber used for the manufacturing of MCP,and studies the control technology of the high-precision fiber drawing machine for MCP.This paper first introduces MCP and its manufacturing process,and clarifies the significance of the high-precision fiber of MCP's manufacturing process.Then according to the manufacturing process of the high-precision fiber,the working principle and design scheme of high-precision fiber drawing machine for MCP are put forward.Next according to the scheme a high-precision fiber drawing machine for MCP is developed,including the feeding device,the softening device with high temperature,the collaborative drawing system,the pneumatic cutting device and the intelligent sorting device.And all the components are introduced in detail.In the following of focusing on the control technology of this high-precision fiber drawing machine,an automatic control algorithm of first performing Kalman filter on the obtained fiber diameter data and then applying P-control algorithm to control the drawing speed is proposed,in order to improve the fiber diameter accuracy.Afterwards the control software is designed by using the modular design concept,including the power management module,the feeding module,the drawing module,the monitoring display module and the cutting and sorting module,which realizes the control of the whole high-precision fiber drawing machine for MCP.At last,the high-precision fiber drawing machine for MCP is debugged and drawing experiments are earried out.The results show that the diameter of the drawn fiber has the highest accuracy of being within ±0.0015mm of the target fiber diameter,and the intelligent sorting function is also realized.
