Nowadays with the constant integration of economic globalization and regional economic development,countries in the world are getting closer.As an important carrier of economic relations,the status of transportation is going to gradually become prominent in the process of global economic integration.In particular,port,as an important hub of the international integrated transport system,plays an very important role in giving full play to the overall transport efficiency and better supporting the development of global economy and trade.The economic hinterland of port which is an important part of port system,best showcases the strength of development and radiation ability of the port.The effective identification of the range of port economic hinterland and its spatiotemporal evolution is crucial to function layout and overall service ability of the port.Thailand,as the economic center of Southeast Asia,provides important service of connecting and transiting in the world economic system.Among which,water transport is the main mode of transport of Thailand's transportation system.Thus?the reasonable functional layout of the port directly affects the overall transport service ability.Further more,it also affects and the economic ties and trade between Thailand and other countries of the world.In this connection?the division of the economic hinterland of the main ports in Thailand and the further inquiry of its temporal-spatial evolution features are particularly urgent.This paper based on the actual needs of foreign trade and economic development in Thailand,took Thailand 6 main ports as the example,discussed the range partitioning method of port economic hinterland and its spatial-temporal evolution characteristics analysis system.Firstly,by reviewing the relevant domestic and foreign literatures,the theoretical basis and method system of this article are clarified.Secondly,the index system of the Thailand port development level was established,and the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was used to acquire the development level pattern of the 6 main ports in Thailand.Then,based on the gravity model and breakpoint theory,the spatial scope of economic hinterland was extracted.Finally,the spatial analysis method was used to study the evolution characteristics and forming mechanism of the Thailand 6 main ports economic hinterland from the perspective of time and space.The study found that:(1)Overall?the development level of Thailand's ports presents a trend of increasing fluctuation.At the same time,the development level of Thailand's port is significantly different,showing typical polarization effect.(2)There are significant differences in the economic hinterland of Thailand's six main ports,the hinterland of the Bangkok port is more than 50%At the same time,the overall pattern of the economic hinterland of the port has gradually stabilized.(3)The economic hinterland of Thailand's port and its spatial-temporal evolution are mainly affected by economic environment,resource endowment,infrastructure and other factors.
