Research On The Embodiment Of The "sense Of Identity" Of Land In Rural Practice

With the loss of population,the transformation of villages with the development mode of modern urbanization has made the rustic contents of traditional villages,such as cultural landscape,residential features,farming life,etc.continuously degenerate,and the local identity and sense of belonging of rural residents have gradually lost.Even so,the design of rural buildings still generally stays in the simple abstraction of the regional historical symbols and the superficial reproduction of the local residential forms.This paper summarizes the relevant theories and examples of vernacular architecture and identity building practice.On the basis of reflecting the current environmental situation in rural areas during the original urbanization process,the author,based on the empirical research of Taiwan's local and rural practices and the rural practice exploration of mainland architects in recent years,has refined the theoretical and practical characteristics of "land identity" building.Among them,the "identity" design pursues a higher level of "anchoring" relationship with the current land.Its buildings are not only rooted in the land,but also need to take root on the land,blossom and bear fruit,so that the local residents have a real identity and sense of belonging to the local human and material existence.This article intends to re-weave the current land,architecture,life and other elements into the new rural relations in the design level,so as to inspire users to perceive the regional spirit and understand the local culture during the long-term interaction with the architectural space.The resulting rural architecture naturally integrates into the rural context.At the same time,through the framework of the design of land identity,the paper discusses from three levels:the " land" character,the rural construction that keeps pace with the times and the real "rural spirit".Finally,taking the rural practice cases in which the author participated as the foothold,responding to the effectiveness of the design strategy,and trying to make the land " identity" design strategy become a new attempt in the future rural practice,making some contributions to the design of rural buildings full of human feelings in the process of new urbanization.
