Water is the basic condition of human survival and the important material base of production activities.It is significant to explore the agricultural water supply and demand balance at the same time water-saving potential in reducing water resources crisis,improving ecological environment and promoting the sustainable development of agriculture.Acoording to water resources quantity,agricultural water consumption and structure of supplying water in Shuangliu county Chengdu City,Sichuan Provience,this study aims to investigate the agricultural irrigation quota and water saving potential to provide a scientific basis for total amount control and the quota irrigation water.Results shows,1)The average surface water resource in Shuangliu county of Chengdu city was 16396 square kilometres,the average groudwater resource was 10518.07 thousands of cubic metres and total water resource was 2.69 million cubic metres.In addition,the surface water resource can be used was 4919 thousands of cubic metres,the groudwater resource can be used was 8244 thousands of cubic metres and total water resource can be used was 13163 thousands of cubic metres.Moreover,the entry water availability was 9.46 million square kilometers.The total available water resources in Shuangliu county Chengdu City was 10.78 million cubic metres,while the local water resources accounted for 12.2% and the entry water resources accounted for 87.8%.2)In general,the water resource of Shuangliu county of Chengdu city was relatively rich(P=17%)in 2014 and available water supply in agricultural water supply system was 13923 thousands of cubic metres.The currently status of agricultural water supply system was relatively stable that output of supplying water was 15800 thousands of cubic metres(P=50%),relatively try that output of supplying water was 16385 thousands of cubic metres(P=75%)and extremely try that output of supplying water was 17805 thousands of cubic metres(P=90%)respectively.Livestock and fishery water consumption was 1014.1 thousands of cubic metres.Corp consumption was 9290.22 thousands of cubic metres.In summury,the current situation of agricultural water consumption was 1.16 million cubic metres and accounting for 38% of the total water consumption.3)The irrigation water requirement will reach 9941 thousands of cubic metres(P=50%),10539 thousands of cubic metres(P=75%)and 10539 thousands of cubic metres(P=75%)respectively.Water demond of fruit,vegetable and fishwas 116,1890 and 313 thousands of cubic metres,respectively,and total water demand was 2320 thousands of cubic metres.The water demand of livestocks and poultry was 1.46,150 and 111 thousands of cubic metres respectively.In general,according to the status quo,available water supply and water demand of relatively stable year(P=50%)was 15800 and 12522 thousands of cubic metres respectively.The available water supply and water demand of relatively try year(P=75%)was 16385 and 13120 thousands of cubic metres respectively.The available water supply and water demand of extremely try year(P=90%)was 17805 and 14241 thousands of cubic metres respectively.In short,due to decrease of the area of cultivated land,agricultural water supply system can achieve the balance of supply and demand of water resources.4)To determine the agricultural water saving water potential in Shuangliu county Chengdu City by comparison with reference standard and status quo of the water level.The water-saving potential of pig breeding,poultry breeding,fishery breeding,rice farming,vegetable cultivation and rape planting was 50.45,34.42,240,1386.55,648.41 and 196.56 thousands of cubic metres respectively.Main crop water-saving potential in Shuangliu county Chengdu City is expected to be reached at 2530.62 thousands of cubic metres.
