Research On The Musical Features Of Milan Kundera's Novels

Milan Kundra,One of the most famous novelists in the world of literary world in twentieth Century.After the success of his first novel,?The Joke? in 1967,he produced many excellent works.He won many international literature awards and was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature.?The Unbearable Lightness of Being? and ?The Joke?have been turned into movies.At the age of 80,he still produce works,which can be said to be the evergreen tree of literary creation.His novels are famous which due to its humorous and ironic language,These novels are rich in philosophical thoughts,and explore the meaning of life for attention.The sales of his works and the reading over the years are high.The unique experience in his life made his work with a mysterious veil.Europe's attitude to Mr Kundera's level is divided into two sides over a period of time.One is prohibit published in his motherland due to political issues,this kind of situation even extended to most countries of eastern Europe.He was forced to suspend his creation;One is western Europe,especially in France,Mr Kundera became an unmitigated public figure during his exile in France.It's also a very important reason for Kundra to choose French as a second homeland——only French accept him at his worst,and give free space to make creative sense.Perhaps he was in return for France,perhaps he was in "revenge" for his motherland.Later,his works were all written in French,which also reflected his pursuit of freedom from another aspect.Since 1985,Leo Lee introduce Milan Kundera into China,initiated several "Kundera Fever" in China,the correlational research comes emerge in endlessly.Most studies centre on the use of philosophy,structural particularity,theme and language,but the research of the characteristic of music in his works is relatively blank.As a result of the similar political background,researchers would focus more on Kundera's political experience,but Ignore the author is also a musician with deep music foundation and family of musicians which had a great influence on writing.I consider that it is the blind spot for the interpretation of Kundera's works,and It is also the motivation of my research.In this paper,On the basis of intensive reading,combined with the interdisciplinary research methods in comparative literature,I will take the basic theory of music,the research results of eastern and western music structure,and the research of music literature as the theory evidence of this paper.Referring to the structuralism and the study of the new novel forms,the musical features of Kundera's novels are combed.Combining the basic music techniques,forms and techniques to the text,the musicality of Kundera's novels is discussed.This paper consists of four chapters:The first chapter: The Formation of the musicality though and the Influence on Creation.Combing the reasons for the formation of musicality thought,and summarizing the influence of music thought on the creation.The second chapter: Material of music which presenting the theme.Analyzing the musicality of the characters and the melody in the process of role growth.The third chapter: Musical composition of the structure.Analyzing the structure of the novel is used for the reference of Fugue,gyratory and Sonata.The fourth chapter: The musicality techniques for creation.Analyzing the musical creation of the novel from the rhythm of the language and the changes in the narrative dynamics..To sum up,I believe that Kundera's novel creation skillfully utilized the commonality of music and literature,and truly achieved the perfect fusion of literature and music,and become a unique scenic spot in the world literary world.
