A Study Of Liu Yupan, A Poet Of The Republic Of China In The Late Qing Dynasty

Liu Yupan was a famous Ci writer,scholar and a teacher of Late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.As a Ci writer,he inherited much knowledge from his family,especially from his father--Liulvfen.Liu Yupan's Ci has an eclectic style of Zhexi Ci school and Changzhou Ci school,which pay attention to both conception and concord.Therefore,it has a mildness intoning.As a scholar,he has been engaged in Ci study for a long time.He wrote Cishi,which was the representative of the early academic Ci monograph.Liu also attach importance to Ci's selection and compiles.The book Sixty famous Ci collection of Tang,Five dynasties,Song,Liao,Jin,Yuan.was a representation.As a teacher,he taught the history of Ci and other related courses,which promoted the develop of Ci teaching at campus.His book Cishi and Huaan Juemiao Ci selection were the lecture of his class while he taught in Peking University.Currently,the academic research of Liu are superficial.Thence,this thesis focus on a comprehensive and in-depth research of Liu's book and thought of Ci according to Liu's material collection.This thesis divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the research of Liu's family background,his life and association.On the account of family affection to do a longitudinal investigation,especially his association and year of death.The second chapter majors in Liu's literature thought.Grasps his viewpoint of literary history and Ci from overall vision and evaluate his thought.The third chapter is about his book Cishi.The focal points are the writing background and theoretical feature.The fourth chapter is the note of Huaan Juemiao Ci selection.Mainly,expect to analysis the class lecture in the Republic of China.The fifth chapter focus on his Ci collection,which was based on his book Sixty famous Ci collection of Tang,Five dynasties,Song,Liao,Jin,Yuan.Also,by comparison to other scholar's work,give Liu a a equitable evaluation.The sixth chapter is a in-depth research of Zhuojianghuan Ci from edition,years,theme and artistic feature.To show a man who get rid of the traditional culture but still loved this kind of culture At the end of this thesis,there is A Brief Chronicle of Liu Yupan.
