Modern china confronted with the dual dilemma of its weakness and the big powers' invasion.Since the Kang-Qian Flourishing Age,the feudal society began to attack a variety of chronic illness,and China had gone a weak stage.With the outbreak of the Opium War,the invasion of Western forces made China slide into the abyss of semi colonial and semi feudal society,and made the plight of modern China even more complicated.As a result,the image of our country and people becomegradually negative.At the same time,the numbness,conservative and servility of Chinese national character are also criticized.The Chinese crisis worsened,especially the defeat of the Sino Japanese War and the sign of the Treaty of Shimonoseki has brought a strong stimulus to Chinese intelligentsia whohave woke up suddenly and began to explore the road of reshape the country's image.In 1900,Liang Qichao published the Young China,shaping the ideal of "Young China".Liang Qichao's thought has two origins,one is the inspiration of "Young Italy" and the influence of "Young" current in Japan,and the other is the infection of Gong Zizhen's "Young" sentiment.In "Young China",Liang Qichao calls for the reform of the national character with the spirit of "Young",and shapes a new national image of "Young China".In addition,the revolutionary continues pursue the ideal of "Young China",advance wave upon wave and even lose theirlife heroically.Therefore,The Times called them Chinese "Young China",and they called themselves "Young China".Since then,"Young China" has become a symbol of the revolutionary.In the May Fourth period,the ideal of "Young China" came to a peak in Chinese intelligentsia."Young" groups which include "Young" societies,periodicals and magazines,have emerged and pursue their "Young China" ideal actively.Among them,as the largest association in the May Fourth period,The Young China Association,carried out many practice for the pursuit of "Young China" ideal.During this period,the Chinese intelligentsiacame to a new stage to pursue the ideal of "Young China",characterized by organization,practice and youth,accompanied by obvious Utopian colors.From the late Qing Dynasty to the May Fourth period,the idea of "Young China" formed a trend in China,which had complex faces and abundant connotations.Liang Qichao's ideal of "Young China" produced a extensive influence,and opened the national feelings of Chinese intelligentsia.At the same time,the intelligentsia have different characteristics in different periods of the pursuit of "Young China".Moreover,the ideal of " Young China" birth the transformation of the Chinese intellectual concept,leading the time style of "Zhong Shao Chong Xin",facilitating the power transfer of "Lao Shao Yi Wei",manifesting the Ideological revolution of "Zhong Xi Yi Shi".
