Volitive auxiliary ' Yao' is the Class A vocabulary in<Chinese level vocabulary and outline of Chinese characters(revision)>,it is important but because of its own complexity,it is also difficult for international students.This article is based on<Peking University Modern Chinese Corpus>to investigate the usage of volitive auxiliary 'Yao' in modern Chinese,and also based on<Jinan University Modern Chinese Corpus>to study the usage of volitive auxiliary'Yao' in interlanguage corpus.Then on the base of these,analyze the similarities and differences of the usage of 'Yao' between foreign student users and native speaker users,besides on the basis of five meanings of volitive auxiliary 'Yao',analyze various biased errors in each meaning,conclude that the most error is appeared in the meaning of 'Yi Yuan Yi' which accounts for more than half of total errors,moreover,the substitution error in biased error mainly consists of 'Yao and hui' and 'Buyao and Buxiang'.So based on the analysis,This article pertinently analyze the reasons of biased error generation,point the main reason is caused by the complexity of ' Yao',the generalization of target language,the negative transfer of mother langue and the incorrect explanation of teaching materials.Finally,studying foreign student corpus and giving advice from teaching methods and teaching materials.
